How was the gym? I started LCHF about 3 years ago and started consistently working out at the same time. I dropped nearly 30 pounds in the first year then gained 10 in muscle as I moved to more strength training and less cardio. I’ve also become less strict with carbs, normally eating just over 100 grams a day, mostly from vegetables. Do I have cheats? Of course. But I’ve been able to maintain by staying consistent and for me, exercising is a huge part of that. Plus, it just makes me feel better.

I prefer to workout at home. I have dumbbells from 25 to 70 lbs. Using the free weights was nice when I had a membership to a gym. Heavy squats, overhead presses, and deadlifts are the best. I do miss lifting heavy. Congrats on joining a gym, just make sure you go several times a week and use your time wisely.

My first day today, going to go slow starting out doing cardio for 30 mins and then moving on to using weights, will probably work out in total of 1 hour or so, planing to go just about everyday after work. Need to lose about 3 stones but also to tone up.

Good luck with it! You'll be amazed (hopefully) at how quickly you can feel more flexible, fit and strong. Easy does it is good. Just be consistent and don't quit.

I agree with being amazed at the increased flexibility. I have been walking on the treadmill every day for 30 + minutes (about 3 weeks), slowly increasing intensity and incline. I have only lost about 15 lbs but I feel so much better with the exercise. Keep up the good work and go every day even if you say to yourself I'm going to only go for a shorter amount of time, every minute is well worth it.
