How does everyone handle all the special food associated with the holidays?

For me personally I had a sugar addiction so I don’t eat sugar, which lessens my cravings, which lessens my binge episodes. I have a lot of food restrictions so I make healthy stuff to bring to potlucks and avoid the foods that will cause me distress, pain, anxiety, or a relapse. I treat it as an addiction. I honestly don’t crave sugar anymore, it’s only been 2 1/2 months though, I do sometimes feel the urge to binge but it’s not much fun binging on herbal tea and water. My kitchen closes after dinner unless I specifically save room in my budget for a homemade dessert 😉0
