Sometimes I just have to stop and take a photo of something wild, weird or wonderful.
It was snowing and I had gone to the home of a client who is on hospice care. RangerRickL can’t help but look at horses, even the artificial. Once I took in the entire view, I have known that my client had a very good sense of humor but this unlikely western pioneer wagon scene was a surprise.

Finally back from holidays.
Ruling myself out of circle for this month as I purposefully did not try to stay within budget or stick to exercise regime during holiday.
Had a good time. Very relaxing. Looking forward to being back. Missed reading everyone's posts and will take time to catch up.Aerial obstacle course was great. Usually they allow only 5 tracks to be done in 2 hours and artificial rock climbing wall with abseil finish and "tarzan" swing. Did 6 tracks, 1 climb/w abseil and 2 "tarzan"'s.
Swim/Spa almost every day. Dinner out most nights.
Completed two 1000 piece jigsaws, with wife (both beautiful pictures. One was a real trial, due to cut and design, last 20 pieces took over 2 hours to place correctly {and no they were not sky }).
Deliberately did not try to keep in daily calorie budget and only loosely tracked. Still kept with food preferences so should not be too far off track.
Now back into routine, expecting my usual to take care of any deviations from original plan.9 -

Well, I started this 3 days ago, and already went over my eating yesterday... I will start again, fresh start today! One down..... Trying to do elliptical for 20 min a day.8

Struggling today, amazing how I can go from super motivated to wanting to eat all of the food. Hopefully some improved sleep will help with my motivation9 -

Mentally drained. My former estate attorney boss passed away on Wednesday. I worked with him for just over 20 years. So very sad...but his retirement was also not anything he anticipated it to be.
Have also been challenged the last 24+ hours with a new laptop. Never had a laptop before, so takes some getting used to...in addition to personalizing and set-up.
@Craigo3154 Great holiday report! One of the worst puzzles DH and I put together was a thousand piece puzzle where every piece was cut exactly the same and interlocked perfectly with every other piece. The only way to put the puzzle together was with shades and intensity of color.10 -
Someone brought a delicious chocolate chip cake with buttercream icing today and I had a slice of the 390 calorie goodness.... If it was not for this 🏆challenge🏆, this would have easily slid into a pass day but I turned it around into a NO PASS DAY and I further sealed it with 1 hour of cardio on top of a workout this morning.
The kitchen is closed!

@RangerRickL I had to look closely at the photo to see the driver was a skeleton. A sense of humor, kind of, for someone in hospice. We're all temporary visitors on this earth.

I can solve a 5x5 Megaminx (https://www.amazon.com.au/Coogam-Shengshou-Megaminx-Gigaminx-Puzzle/dp/B06Y1XJY8R) faster than I could place the last 20 pieces in this puzzle. (And yes I have one of these. I also have an extensive collection of other puzzle cubes. I can solve a standard 3x3 rubics cube consistently in under a minute. It's my normal "fiddle" toy).
Other one we solved I liked better. The pieces had more variety and the picture was amazingly detailed.

Thanks, @Hollis100! You are so right about us being temporary visitors on earth. That is one of the reasons why I am trying to make every day count to remain in health so that I can make this human experience as comfortable as possible. Thank you for those words.2 -

dog walking for exercise
I'm starting to have a harder time sticking with this plan. I want to slack on the tracking, don't want to exercise after work, but am doing my best to stick with this challenge. I have 1 pass day so far.
I've lost 4 lbs since Jan 1, which is faster than I anticipated. I'm thinking I'll plan another pass day before the end of this challenge as a reward, and as a way to motivate myself to hang in till the end.
I'm enjoying reading about everyone, and I love that people continue posting, even if they aren't going to be in the circle this round.6
