We meet here to explore, share, celebrate and (sometimes) agonize over how we do (or don't) incorporate weight loss guidelines into our daily lives. "It's a lifestyle, not a diet" is easily and often said, but sometimes not so simply put into practice.

This is a thread for everyone. If you're new to GoaD, or to weight loss, your questions and comments are always welcome. If you're maintaining, or a long-term loser, your thoughts on the topic may be just what someone else needs to hear. If you're reading this, join in the discussion!

Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion.

Topic of the Day: Yesterday we talked about foods you may have given up.
What foods or( types) as a staple have you gravitated towards as you've settled into your Lifestyle Journey.

I know that some folks eschew and won't chew Kale and brussel sprouts but I like them. I did add in a veggie omelet daily when at home made with a shredded kale, carrot, and red cabbage mixture. I like mine.

One of my favorite finds in nutritional yeast. Excellent addition to many dishes - adding a cheesy flavor without the cheese.

And yogurt. I've really come to like yogurt of all styles.

I've always eaten a lot of veggies and fruit.

Fruit. Before I started WW I rarely ate fruit. Now I rarely go without at least 2 servings.

Oatmeal. Pre WW instant flavored oatmeal could be a cold weather substitute for morning cereal. But now it’s the old fashioned Quaker every day we are home. Eggs are for lunch.

Who would have thought that I consider an omelette without veggies, fresh pico, and spinach to be boring? I've been eating my colorful omelettes for many years now every morning!
