Hurray! Finally back in the 120's. . been hovering above and below 130 for a long time now. My goal is to get my body to accept NOT being 130 or over. This is what daily logging does for me.

Lois, congratulations on the reduction! And have a glorious mother-daughter shopping day :) Daughters are the best for that kind of fun! And, I'm glad you're keeping tabs on your BP and taking additional meds if needed. You can't mess with high BP. Enjoy your nice weather . . we're freezing here and had more snow yesterday.

Sarah, my gosh I pray you get this IT issue resolved quickly and permanently. That's got to be such a helpless and frustrated feeling when you have more work, and less ability to get it done. I'm glad you took the opportunity to relieve some of the stress by getting on the TM, and that you're doing some resistance exercises. You don't need dumbbells . . even just standing up and sitting down 8 - 12 times counts!

I wish I could get a workout, but today is another Wednesday, and wedding planning and errands are the designated to-do. Daughter is headed over to pick me up soon . . gotta run. Have a great day.

Well it's not as good as being in the 120s (OMG--Sheesh, that is amazing), but it's almost a pound and I'll take it. I had another killer day, so I'm going to be brief. I want to get on the TM before I have no steam left. Yesterday, I walked 20 minutes at lunch and then walked in the mall with Toni, and I got more than 13,000 steps. I'll be lucky to hit 7 or 8 thousand today since it has been a sit down all day kind of day. Hubby is back, too, so that means harder to watch intake.

We had planned to go to the women's march downtown on Saturday, and I was looking forward to all that standing and walking, but now our spring weather is turning into real winter weather, and we have snow and ice coming. So I don't think it's a day for standing outside with no cover.

Lois, hope you have fun shopping. I love that pic you posted of you and your husband before the ugly mudder. You guys are so cute.

I'm back! Or at least I'm going to try my best to be back! Happy New Year to you all! I'm so sorry I was gone for so long. I honestly just had to get rid of some things in my life for a bit so I wasn't so stressed out about the things I HAD to do. Posting on here was just one.. more.. thing to do, if you know what I mean. Also, I haven't been great to myself in a few months. Eating whatever, not tracking a thing, working out but only occasionally.. kind of just not really taking care of myself or putting myself first. (I'm bad at that) I'm going to try getting back to what's important. I just need to remember that when I take care of myself, it also benefits those around me.

So I'm here.. I think the last time I weighed myself I was at 161.1.. so I'll be honest and just use that as a starting weight. This means that I've gained 13lbs since last January (shake my head). That's just silly already. I usually tend to stick around the 150 mark, but with not tracking and not weighing myself or really caring, this is what happened. Time to get back at it!

In saying that, we're headed to Mexico on January 25 for a vacation for a week for our 1 year anniversary <3 so I'll do my best with logging until then, but can't promise to log food while I'm there. Shawn and I have already committed to going to the gym every day while we're there.. so that'll for sure help. My parents are coming with us too, which will be really nice. They enjoyed our wedding trip so much, they asked if they could come along. They do their own thing, we do ours and then meet up for meals and such. It'll be nice to have other people around for sure.

Today is the 1 year anniversary of moving into our home! Everything is so great there and we managed to get sooo much done in the 1 year. All of our landscaping is mostly done, 1 side of our fence is built, we built a massive deck and bought a hot tub. On the inside we had 3 different cabinets installed in our living room and kitchen. It's been a lot of work all year round but well worth it.

Sarah - Thanks so much for the kind message! I just received it today when I logged into MFP on a computer. For some reason I didn't get that message on the MFP app on my phone, which is what I normally use to update my food/water. You're so sweet.

Ok.. now I have to go and try find some time to read what everyone has been up to over the past few months to see if I can get caught up.

So glad to be back. :)

Super busy day today. tomorrow MAY be calmer for me to jump on and chat. Sunday will be crazy as my daughter leaves in am and unsure if Rhea and her dad are coming up tomorrow to stay the night. Calm if they don't. Rhea time takes precedence if she's there.

So I was playing around with MFP and noticed that I actually weighed in on January 1st of this year at 163.3.. that'll be my starting weight so I can see what happens for the entire year. I weighed myself this morning and I was 159.9. At least I'm back in the 150's! I do feel motivated to keep going. Even just 1 day of tracking has made a big difference for me. I found that because I was tracking, I didn't just put food in my mouth that I didn't really want. Plus, I drank soo much water yesterday. Way more than I normally do in winter.

I'm at work until Tuesday and it's been sooooo cold here. -50C (-58F) with the wind on some days. Right now it's -31C (-23.8F) so it's not as bad today. At least my nostrils didn't freeze when I walked to work this morning :D
I have been to the gym at 5am for the last 4 days doing a quick 30 minute walk. My focus right now is to move more & sit less, focus on what I'm eating & drinking, plus track my food & water intake.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

TWO posts from Kelly!! Woot Woot HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Ok..so weigh in is moved to tomorrow - IF I can get my scale to cooperate. We changed our modem at home and now were having challenges with some of our wifi components connecting...

I ordered groceries on Saturday to pick up on Sunday - SUCCESS!! Except I double ordered several things - not focused. Anyhow I said I was going to pick a couple of recipes from my new cookbooks. I made beef/broccoli using coconut amino acids for my lunches - not too bad - quite tasty... and I'm making a butternut squash chili tonight. Roasted veggies with a garlic cream sauce was also made for dinners. Regular chicken breasts for hubby were grilled and sweet potatoes also made. So we have a good base for the week.

Our shopping day was a success. We had a great Mom/daughter day - even if we didn't plan sales timing at all. We had pedis, lunch with hubby, Macy's, dinner with my other daughter. Fantastic day. The one day I ALWAYS look forward to spending with her. Bought blouses that will look flattering when I lose 20-30 lbs and not look hideous.

Tasha and her hubby left Sunday am at 6am, which meant leaving house at 330... well that meant I didn't sleep Saturday night and attempted to get some sleep when we got home at 430 until 11. Sleep was elusive so yesterday was quite groggy and not very active (5k steps routinely getting 7-9k). What I cooked was amazing as all I wanted to do was crawl back into bed. Slept like a log until 6 this morning...alarms were set for 545, but yeah that wasn't happening. Thank goodness most people are off today, so I still got into the office quite early and have been very productive so far.

Regular activity will be starting next week. Kelly - i am so impressed with your 5am walks.. All of our equipment is in our room in the retreat area...use the excuse I'll wake hubby if I work out in am. Excuses excuses excuses. Go get em girl!!!

Sheesh hoping the wedding planning is coming under control and we're all looking forward to a pic of your dress

Sarah - hang in there!! you've got this!
