IF preventing night time binging

So I am a night time snicker. That is when I find myself uncontrollably eating food, sometimes healthy sometimes crap. Either way the evening and my anxiety is a trigger for me. I recently downloaded the LIFE app to help me learn to intermittent fast. My endocrinologist recommended I try IF so as not to eat to close to bedtime. I havnt really tried until now. I did try to replace my evening food desire with tea or water instead and even tried exercise but those replacements don’t stick for me so it’s time to try IF. I did a 14 hr fast the first day, second day was only 5 hrs and today I ended my fast at 16 hours. Has anyone else tried IF to prevent binging or snacking after dinner/before bed???

    So far so good. The IF does help me eat less after dinner,but I’m not perfect. Some fasts are shorter than others but it helps me be mindful of when I’m eating and why I’m eating.
