Here is a question... If you go off program at all, say for a day... how long before you are back in the swing of things and losing weight again? How much does that one day mess up what you are doing? I have been on for three weeks and have lost 8 lbs.

I messed up and it took about 3 days to start back losing weight after gaining a pound or so.

yup - 1 beer is enough to kick your body out of ketosis. After a binge or whole day of eating carbs it takes approximately 3 daysto get your body back into that fat-burning metabolism.

That's the best thing about this diet for me, consequences of cheating are immediate and severe. (So I just don't do it)
  • yes I am going to really use the effects of cheating as my motivation... between the weight I could gain, the time it will take to get back on track and the $$ I would be wasting... I am hoping this will be all of the deterrents I need :)

My body got back on track after one day! I think I was fortunate with that. I had a very stressful day with my son, and I just didn't have time to deal with food preparation. It was either starve, or eat what was quick and available, so I didn't really go on a 'binge'. Anyway, I have lost about 12 lbs after 3.5 weeks on the plan, so I am pleased.

That's great wknmom! I had very much went off the deep end, so that's probably why the three days for me.
