HOW IT ALL WORKS:
Every challenger weighs in on their chosen day, and at the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!
If you need a week off, a break, a change of weigh-in day - just ask your Captain here on your team chat page. If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to ask if you are travelling, sick, or just needing some time off.
In addition to your own team, there are F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the “Announcements” section for full group challenges.
This month, we have the Leaping Groundhog Challenge! Every day, there will be a question (TWO on groundhog day!!). The more people who post their thoughts and ideas on the question, the more we’ll all learn, and new ways of losing weight and getting fit might come to your attention. The more you read and post, the better it will be - so get ready to answer all 29 questions!
There will also be shorter challenges to get you moving, watching what is on your plate, or getting out of a rut.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love!! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin.
THANKS!

Thanks for that info. New here. Just a question.... I see that people were posting their steps for the week in the January chat. If I will be weighing in on Thursdays, do I post my steps at that time, since the last weigh in, or do I post steps for each calendar week at the end of the week?0
-
Hi @suzyjmcd2 ! Great question. Some people post their steps every day. Some people on whichever day they get around to it. The most important thing is that they are all in for the week by the end of the day on Saturdays. Then all the weekly counting, bragging, and celebrating how many steps everyone has taken can be done at the end of the F2F week. We run everything from Sunday - Saturday, so whichever way works best for you - go for it!
The February step counts will begin tomorrow, so you do not need to post any before that. Tally ho!1 -
Just a quick link for everyone -
Our February Moderators' Challenge is UP! The first day's question (for tomorrow) has been posted, so go ahead and put in some answers. There will be a new question every day - so I hope lots of people will join in and make the discussions packed with info and insights.

Hipari
Sundays
PW 213.4 lbs (96.8kg)
CW 214.7 lbs (97.4kg)
Yeah, it seems I hit my weight rebound two weeks after the food poisoning debacle, but I’m finally feeling normal so I’ll take it.5 -

Love this! Just done question one, and already have more food thought on my 'journey'. Grest reading other people's responses too, think this post will create a lot of ideas!0 -
@suzyjmcd2 welcome! I'm also a Thursday weigher and I like putting my weight here on a Thursday morning and then my steps from Sunday-Saturday on the Sunday. I used to post steps every few days when I remembered but often missed days so this weekly posting works for me0

2020 Week 3
I was mightily close in week 3 though the plaudits go to @ells_runs who moved up from second last week showing great consistency with @bigblues11 again being in the top two. A great week for everyone!
1st - @ells_runs 88,465
2nd - @bigblues11 86,321
3rd - @kilobykilo 84,892
It was a great week for many though especially @mustb60 who nearly doubled their steps from last week and @iamworthy14 who increased by almost 50% week on week.
Thank you as well to all those who already registered this week's steps making a grand total of over 800,000 steps!!!! We are ready for your week 4 steps from 26th January to 1st February
@suzyjmcd2 I post results a week in arrears as a reminder to send the next week's steps. You can post at anytime and you will know I have picked them up for the table if that post is marked 'Insightful'. You can start from Feb or if you have the steps from earlier in January I can add them to the full year figures.2 -

Well done everyone for stepping, I love having this challenge, and Fitbit ones, to keep me accountable!
On that note, its 1806 here and I'll be doing my run at 1830 as that's what time one of my workweek hustles begins.... #competitivemuch

Let's keep shrinking those "assets", friends! February is when a lot of people slack off or give up. Let's set ourselves up for success by staying consistent and kicking it up a notch. It's easier to stay motivated when you stay connected. Yeah us!4

Hi all, this month is my one year anniversary of being in this group. This time last year I was class 3 obese, weighed 119.5kg (263.5 lbs), had insulin resistance, a sluggish thyroid, and was an epic snorer. You may have noticed: all in the past tense. In January 2020 I reached my healthy goal weight, my health issues have all reversed over the past year, and now I am trying to maintain my weight around 65kg (143 lbs).
For this reason I am not technically "in" the challenge anymore, but am staying in the group to keep myself accountable and on track - and cheer you all on in your journey.
I'm Australian, and mum to a 14 yr old.
My stats:
169cm / 5'7'
41 years
Highest Weight: 119.5kg/263.5lbs (27th January 2019)
Goal Weight: 65 kg/143 lbs (6th January 2020)
Today I bought my first Fitbit (a Charge 3) as a reward for hitting my goal weight. Am setting it up now10 -
Luciicul
Week 1, Monday
PW: 145.5lb
CW: 139.1 lb
(Aiming to maintain around 65kg /143 lbs, +- 1.5kg / 3.3 lbs)4 -
@SheilaCali it's with that message in mind that I am determined to come in here everyday this month and check in. I hope to see others being active too some can keep each other accountable
@Luciicul just wow! You are a Shrinking Assets inspiration. Do stick with us and post as often as you can. Your story is one of the great motivators of the group
Monday morning, a day at the computer awaits as I have a freelance deadline looming at 11am tomorrow..... I will take a couple of breaks to get out and see the sunshine and get some steps in but it wont be an epically exercise full day.... I WILL however be on plan with food, i need to get back to being food consistent.
How's everyone else feeling about the week ahead?2 -

Ok, coming in a couple days late on the intro....
I am Beka, one of your Team Captains and Group Moderator. My counterpart is Julie, aka @boehle.
I am 43, married, mom of 2 daughters and 3 fur babies. I will become a grandma (aka Mimi) this month - ANY DAY NOW!!!!
I live in the beautiful mountains of Northern Georgia. I have no concept of really cold weather or driving in snow...
I started my journey 2 years ago at 242 lbs, lost down to 174 and maintained almost 9 months before gaining back to 232 in July. I did a complete reset as of August 1… Cleared my +1000 day streak and started over. It has been VERY liberating! I feel like I am restarting again. I have a new found motivation and it is so exciting!!!
My MOE is CICO. I cannot stick with anything else. Keto sounds good to me, but so does bread.
My Stats:
5'7' and 43
226 ish lbs
February Goals:
- meet my grandson!!!
-be GREEN for the ENTIRE month.
-be available for my teammates!
If you have not already, feel free to friend me. Please make your diaries open. Your teammates (umm - or me) might want to borrow your ideas that keep you in check.6 -
Photos in spoiler are from the Hot Chocolate 5/15k. I did the 5 - just was not ready for the 15... my running buddy did the 15.5

@Beka3695, thanks for the inspiring photos! Running is hard enough, let alone in the cold. Looks like you had a running buddy. I ran my only 5-mile race with a friend back in 1999 or so. That was the fastest I'd ever run. My knees rebel when I get up to that distance. I haven't run in years, but got my hubby started about 15 years ago. He runs every other day, and can down a bag of Cheetos without guilt. Ah, to have that metabolism. I was thinking of starting C25K, is that what you did? How do you stay injury free? I'm wondering if I didn't stretch enough...1

Monday weigh-in:
PW: 229 pounds
CW: 227.5 pounds
I had a very successful week, until yesterday. Went out to lunch after church, but stayed on my plan. THEN last night I really went off the wagon and ate and ate. My first time trying hummus. While it was good enough, it wasn't great, but I still pigged out on hummus and crackers and tracked 2,500 calories for Sunday.
Okay, the good news. I paused just now while writing this post, went into the kitchen and buried the rest of the hummus in the bottom of the trash!! I am rarely strong enough to do that, so I will take it as a win and move on.
Still working towards my previous low of 224.5 from mid-November.7 -

I did C25k many many years ago. I have an issue with consistency (hahaha - following me you already know that!) As long as I run 3x a week, my speed and distance improves. When I get lazy and cut back... well, you know. I am currently a run/walk/repeat person. Yesterday was probably a 60% walk and 40 run. The last mile was almost all up hill with the hospital sign in the middle. Luckily, the last 0.2 was down and I got to run across the finish. People who design runs with an uphill finish are sadistic!!!
My motto is not fast, but not last. So far, I have never been last. I am still recovering from a non-running related back injury from last May. The first time I ran with no after effects was on New Years day. Even the turkey trot I did back in November made me limp for days. I don't want to jinx myself, but my knees are good. Back - not so much.
My next scheduled race is 3/14. Last year I was first in my age group. I don't anticipate getting that this year. But - I'm not giving up and lapping everyone on the couch!!4
