Hi team!!!
Things I’ve learned this past week:
1. Being a grandma is the most amazing thing EVER!
2. I have a new respect for women who have children in their 40s - this is a young person sport!
3. Newborn diapers and onesies are so very cute! Way cuter than when my babies were born.
4. This little fella has totally stolen my heart. I can’t even put it in words!
I know there are more things, but I’m sleep deprived, too.
As for the challenge....
I will remain excused for the remainder of the month. My March starting weight will be a day or so late, but I will be back and more active in March. Promise!!!5 -

Week 4, Monday
PW: 142.0 lbs
CW: 148.6 lbs
Feb average: 143.5 lbs
(Trying to maintain around 65kg /143.5 lbs, +- 1.5kg / 3.3 lbs)
Weight is up this week, but the average for the month is right on plan. Yesterday I ate biltong (salty = increased water weight, will go down again soon) and spent the day with the family at an amusement park where, I am pleased to say, I did not eat any of the junk food on offer but ate a healthy picnic lunch instead.
Four weeks ago I got my first fitbit, as a reward for the weight I've lost, and it's good to see that while I am sometimes not great at recording things, the fitbit is picking up on exercise even if I forget! Since I got it, there is only 1 day that I didn't do any exercise. It's such a big difference to a year ago, when I could easily go a week with little to no exercise.
I continue to struggle not to backslide. Have found myself doing some emotional eating (at least it is 'better choice' foods rather than completely off track), not always abiding by my bedtime & feeling tired in the morning as a result, sometimes dragging my feet with my exercise routine, and I forgot to do my daily gratitude/focus journal for about 4 days in a row. Mostly on track though!7 -

I have a NSV to share! I’ve been going to yoga once a week for the past year. I started working out with a physical trainer about six weeks ago. After yoga this morning, my instructor asked what I have been doing. My mobility has improved and my transitions have improved. She can see a change in my face and body. Made my day!8

due today:

@SheilaCali
I am back from my little birthday festivities
I had my meals all prepped today and one of the guys brought me chicken alfredo.
Wasn't worth the extra calories but I ate it.
I am kinda in a mental funk. My son turns 18 this coming Sunday.
We have also been fighting a lot lately with him wanting to move out and my not liking his gf.
I specifically asked him yesterday if he'd be home that evening so I could make us dinner.
I was told yes. Right before his work shift ended, I asked if he wanted dinner ready when he got home. Again, another yes. Want to guess who didn't come home until 2 hours later because "my girlfriend is having a bad day and I need to cheer her up"

I must say that you all inspire me to walk more- with all those steps you're logging! I'm still recovering from the flu, so my lungs aren't ready for more. I did my entire route for the first time in a while though and felt pretty good. Tonight I'm coughing some, but I'm usually better in the morning for my walk. Kudos to all you walkers!6 -
Hi folks. Thank you for letting me join. You’ll have to show me the ropes I’m not quite sure on what to do. I’ve been following WW for a few months and lost 1st 5lbs but I want to be able to do it myself using fitness pal and save the money. Any tips and pointers would be fab.
Thank you4 -
Still struggling with manfluenza, keep those steps coming in and I hope to update in a couple of days!1

So I weigh every day (it helps keep me motivated) and I only record on Friday. Well yesterday I was 133.4, 2 lbs down since last recorded weigh in. I was so excited! This morning I stepped on the scale and was at 138.0 – about 3 lbs up from last recorded weight in. I was really bummed, even though the uptick probably doesn’t represent an actual fat gain.
So, I know that a lot of factors influence weight and it fluctuates a lot, but that was a huge swing!
What non-scale metrics do you guys use to track progress? I’m looking for ideas of something to track in addition to weight. I have some photos, but they are so subjective – it’s nice to have some numbers. Maybe I should do more regular body measurements? Thanks in advance!!1 -
Just wanted to jump in and say Hi...i will be joining you starting March 1st4
