At mid month, we take our eyes off the scale and share something good that is going on in our life. It could be related to weight loss or it could be something totally unrelated. What is going well with you that you want to share?

My Favorite Day!
I’m at peace with my food. I feel much more confident about maintenance.
I’m making & learning about art daily. And developing other creative, larger projects to do at home until the coronavirus vaccine or the herd makes it safer to go out. 12-18 months for me, I’m guessing.
I’m relaxed & positive about the future, doing all I can to avoid the virus esp since I am heavily immuno-suppressed due to kidney transplant. Staying home except for nature hikes.
My blood pressure readings have been very healthy- getting lower over time: 114/76, 111/76, 106/75...
Feeling leaner & stronger on my daily hike/walks!!
Very grateful for this group, for medical personnel, for all the teams developing tests, and for my Life.
Take Care,
Maddie

Most recent NSV - Signing up for a virtual walking 5k! I was a couch potato just a mere 6 months ago and am excitedly looking forward to it.12

March 15
Exercised: Yes (3km walk in 23 mins - hills)
Tracked: Yes
Budget: Yes
As well as the walk. Flew race drones today (so even more walking).
Less than 5 hours sleep, so room for improvement there.
NSV day is probably my favourite for the month.
My NSV is that with the support of family and UAC family I am getting professional help for clinical depression. Without the support and the principles taught by this group, this would not be possible for me.
(I also am still in my maintenance weight range after 2&1/2 years )

Yes x 3.
Happy NSV Day!
Two for me. Firstly is that one of the mum's I sort of know was really surprised that we do have a car as she said she always sees us walking everywhere in our area. I really don't see the point in driving short distances! I was proud that it shows commitment to a healthy lifestyle as well as a mission on sustainability.
Secondly (a bit personal sorry!) while my clothes still fit in the same size at the moment e.g jeans and tops, I had to buy some new smaller underwear this week as my knickers kept falling down in my jeans. I had to keep discretely pulling them back up and hope no one noticed me doing it! 🤣 🤣 🤣11 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 30 minutes setup and cleanup at church
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
I think my NSV for this month is the ability to forgive myself for slips and get right back on track. In the past, I would spiral and then just give up and begin the trek of watching the numbers on the scale head north. Thankful for this group!!13 -
I also love reading everyone's NSVs on the 15th (and going back and re-reading ...)
And I too have more than 1 NSV to report ...- After four trys, I finally found the right flour to get my breadmaker going again ... I have stocked up on the flour.
- Despite being down with a cold, I didn't have to use any "pass-day/sick-days". I wasn't eating much anyway, and for intentional exercise I split the 20 minutes into 2 or more segments and shuffled around like a zombie each day. But it was STILL intentional exercise-movement
- I e-filed my taxes today
- I started more intense French Second Language at-home study and practice .... SOME time before the end of November I have to do my "confirm levels" testing in Grammar, Reading Comprehension, and (worst of all!) Oral communication.

My NSV today (unrelated to MFP, the scale, etc.) was disengaging from the media pandemic reporting long enough to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine. It was chilly but the skies were blue making it a glorious day to be outside.
Pics from today...left to right and top to bottom...
Eastern Bluebird from my back yard
Mallard Duck swimming in the Erie Canal
Crocus blossom
Rooster...all of the foregoing being sure signs of spring! Can't you just hear that rooster crowing?

Pass day #3.
Pampering my illness.
Food and logging have been fine. Hopefully back to workouts tomorrow.
NSVs:
I can really keep any food in my house and moderate it. (Unfortunately, my spouse has trouble with it. Need to figure that out.)
My spouse says my core exercises are making a difference!
Beware the Ides of March!12 -
Today was a day of rest so I got the minimum workout 30 minutes on the bike since I developed some foot pain for some reason.
Calorie control was better than yesterday and the food was very clean.
Yes x 3 and on budget.
3 passes left.
Have a successful day tomorrow all!11 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Active rest day today -- did laundry, food shopping, meal prep and tidied up the house for my activity.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes and under
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep!10 -
Yes x 310

My NSV is that my stretching program has improved my lumbar impingement so that I can do cardio exercise again. I have to do 35 minutes a day of active stretches but it’s worth it to have more functionality.
I too am comfortable in my own skin. I’m grateful to be breathing well. I am doing what is recommended to attempt to avoid contagion but it may be unavoidable.
Today’s report:
Tracking: good
Calories: good
Exercise: stretches plus cardio14 -
@w8goal4life Beautiful spring photos. I especially love the duck.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, a dog walk with my elderly neighbor's little dog and a longer walk for myself, about two hours total
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
My NSVs:
(1) This is my fifth month in maintenance. I'm not tempted by the high calorie food that made me obese -- or the don't care attitude I fell into before. I'm still surprised by my reflection in mirrors.
(2) I hope the medical profession finds some advances that will help with the coronavirus pandemic. Whatever happens, I want to spend my time well, at peace with myself and life.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, biking, walking, body strength, and yoga
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes, not busting me today for forgetting something small!
My most recent NSVs are fitness-related, I've been able to increase weights, reps, stairs climbed, and added some new exercises. My gym's still open but I'm really torn on whether or not to go.9 -
15th March:
Exercise: Minimal, pulling suitcase from hotel to station, but over 20 minutes
Calories: Yes, stayed under. Back in my own home now and all restaurants, bars and cafes are closed until further notice. Next lot of work cancelled.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.
Thought up nice activities for myself now we're all on lock down. My Gym and Yoga classes have all been cancelled too. I'll find out today if the swimming pool is closed as well.
NSVs: Had to buy new, smaller size jeans as the old ones just fall down without belt and look all bunched up with. @am_change: my knickers are also falling down under my skirts and trousers! So embarrassing to try and hoick them up surreptitiously!
I'm feeling better in my skin, physically and mentally. I have more patience with my partner, I don't let his Alzheimer's get under my skin so much.
I look better, from the front and sideways! That big belly is shrinking!
Most of all, I am proud that I am still hanging in there! I have been doing UAC for 15 days now, without crashing out and without even 1 Pass Day! Thank you all for your support!13 -
