Time to get back to it! I had a few weeks of not logging and lots of eating. Two different vacations one of which was a cruise. I think it was a good needed beak. I have noticed an increase on the scale but I enjoyed my time with friends and family.
I am super glad to get back to it! Logging my food and exercise and all that! Here's to a great year. We've got this!

there's another really good thread that talks about the need and benefit of diet breaks every so often - eating at maintenance for a prescribed time, usually 2 weeks. So you can say you had a really good diet break which was good for you in a lot of ways Glad you've come back rested and had a good time!2

WOW, I just read both of them, and all the links that were attached to them as well.
And I feel so much better now. I was to the point of thinking oh no, have I sunk in a rut or what.
I was semi cruising along and then I was not. I got bit on the 12th, to get it treated I had the dubious pleasure of going to 2 Urgent cares in same night. Started on Antibiotics, realized still an issue, so had to visit an ER within 48 hours. Took blood, hooked me up to Antibiotics for 5 hours, sent me home with an additional antiobiotic, oh they drained the wound as well.
Found out yes MRSA as well. And then this last weekend came down with what acted like the flu. But gee two urgent care visits, one ER visit, multiple visits to drug stores kind of no surprise. Good old Theraflu clearing that up.
So I kind of sort of stopped prepping meals. Had some foods I normally would not, bought soups instead of making my own and so on. So yesterday started to really take myself to task over getting off track. But today I read this, and I was like well this is much more of what has been happening really since the 16th or so.
After reading everything, I decided to set my goals for now very close to maintainence, and figured in the 10% lowering that the one article suggested as made total sense to me. I have decided that I may do for three weeks or so. Until I am done with the whole wound dressing, and back and forth to specialist.
Reading about diet breaks and how to go about it, was incredibly helpful to me. Timing is everything, so true.

@maureenkhilde - glad they helped you! Its always a good idea to focus on healing; your body needs all those nutrients, and adding the stress of trying to maintain a deficit just makes it harder on you.
