This is a thread for everyone. If you're new to GoaD, or to weight loss, your questions and comments are always welcome. If you're maintaining, or a long-term loser, your thoughts on the topic may be just what someone else needs to hear. If you're reading this, join in the discussion!

Topic: What gives me my mojo during the tougher days?
What gets me out of Bed, and out the door when it is raining or gloomy? Do you have a fluffy dog making you walk him twice a day rain or shine? Do you have a walking buddy? What helps you push away from the TABLE laden with food? Sure it is easier when you are in the groove, but what angel on your shoulder helps make it happen?

It is so ingrained to just put on my workout clothes when I get dressed in the morning that I don't give it any more thought than brushing my teeth. Gym time = me time.
Now if I could just get better at ignoring the free food in the break room. Seems like the devil has a permanent place on my shoulder.0 -
Well now that I have a pacemaker and my heart is kicking butt I'm awake pretty much after 8 hours sleep. Some mornings I have things to do. I'm not retired but 1099 and self employed. I'm waiting on a CTA scan for Heart Surgery coming up so hoping when that's over I'm going to be able to walk and exercise.
We'll see more on that later.0 -
Between literacy/English tutoring and PT I usually have things scheduled throughout the workweek. Though I get up early and make DW breakfast before she leaves for work, I am skilled at being a little slow to get moving after that and often have to rush to get moving in time for my first appointment. Lately, I have a deadline to get upstairs and get my day going.0

Habits and combining with what you have to do helps for sure. Food is a tough issue.0
