Exercise/Physical Activity in Med School

Hey! Oklahoma med student here and ex-college athlete (for frame of reference). I was wondering how other students prefer to incorporate physical activity into their health regimen and if there were any groups promoting physical activity. I've been working in a Behavior Therapy and Nutritional Research lab and all this talk of promoting physical activity in children has me thinking about med students. I know that I personally consider it a good week if I get to the gym 4/7 days - there are definitely weeks I go less! Other students I've talked to seem to have similar struggles.

I do think there is a certain level of physical activity that you get on wards and such so there's probably some skew. Activity wise on our campus we have intramural sports primarily basketball now but soccer in the spring and fall. There is a gym included in tuition/fees but it is an underutilized resource.

What are some opinions? What do you do as individuals or as groups in school?
