Hi Kelly <3 I hope you're safe and healthy too. I've been thinking about you also, and wondered if Shawn is going to North Dakota. . it might be a good idea to postpone if he can. Things are crazy here. I wondered if things are as crazy where you are. I know your Prime Minister's wife tested positive, and that he is in quarantine. Any more news on that? I hope he stays well, and that she makes a full recovery. Is your mother going in regularly for physical therapy? My hubby is going for his hands (he had surgery on them) and it makes me nervous because it's in a hospital setting. Maybe he should skip it for a while? I canceled my mammogram for that reason.

Sarah, I'm thinking about you too. Your job has got to be so stressful. Hope you and your hubby are not experiencing health issues worsened by stress.

Lois, where are you? What's happening with you and your family? Is your vertigo gone?

I'm happy to report that daughter and I found an absolutely beautiful dress that fits her like a glove, suits her personality, and most important, she loves! Now, it'll be interesting to see if we can actually HAVE the wedding. I was so surprised by her "go with the flow" attitude today. . she said, "well, if we have to postpone, then that's what we'll do for the reception, but we will go ahead and get married first and just have the party later". We even talked about having the wedding in Yosemite in July since our family has reservations at the lodge for our reunion. Or, they could get married soon at the courthouse and have the reception in August or September. We are so up in the air.

I pray that the virus scare passes soon. And please, keep yourselves and your loved ones safe and stay healthy. This really helps me realize what's most important in life, and friends are most certainly up there! Take care.

Wow!! I didn’t realize I had been off the board for so long. I’ve missed you gals. It’s been crazy here. Our baseball player went back home on Saturday and will return whenever he team tells him to come back. He was such a joy. We are working from home for the next two weeks. I did have to go in to train someone. Hoped to be there for half a day and ended up all day. I’ll be working from home starting tomorrow. So I will be like Sarah - except that I am not working until midnight. Lol. At least I don’t have to drive. Almost 10 days- vertigo is finally under control!!! Gosh that was hard. I worked from home a couple of days - just didn’t feel I’d be safe behind the wheel.

Sheesh I cannot believe the dress issues but so super happy that you found one. And I thought the wedding was this past weekend. I’m on a positive thought process that it will go off without a hitch. The world will also find their sanity. It’s bonkers right now

Kelly I’ve been thinking about you and the kids. Az has closed all schools for the next two weeks. Somehow everyone thinks April will be better. So positive thinking that it will be!!! Hoping your mama starts to feel better with the therapy. Avoid surgery if possible.

We went to the grocery store th either night - big mistake. Seeing th store so barren made me feel like I had been transported to Venezuela or some zombie apocalypse was in progress. My knees got weak and I just started to tear up. We had to get some power steering fluid for hubbys car. So we got that and left. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a case of toilet paper from Costco. Just got delivered today. 60 rolls. I’ve got a couple of friends coming by to get some tomorrow. We need some but not 60 rolls - it was the smallest order I could do so we have tp!!!

I’ve gotten in two workouts with my trainer last week and I’m training tomorrow. She’s in a private studio so it will only be her and I. I’m still dragging but I do look forward to my training sessions. Oh no meal prep. My grocery store had almost no veggies( zucchini squash nor sweet pity)!!! I was too depressed with the craziness of humans that I just avoided doing anything at all. Maybe tomorrow or wed.

    Hi Ladies,

Yes, Shawn's trip has been cancelled. They finally cancelled the whole tournament the other day. It's pretty scary and tense times up here. I'm still at work but flying out today and then driving home to Winnipeg. I will feel a bit better when I'm home with my family. I am a bit scared to go out in public as we have to go get some food and supplies for the house. It can't really be avoided either. The toilet paper issue and the problem with the barren grocery stores is the same problem in Canada as it is in the US. It's definitely going to get worse before it gets better. Our Prime Minister is working from home in self isolation with his wife at home in self quarantine. The media says she's doing much better. He hasn't been tested but says he feels good and doesn't see the need since he's self isolating. My Mom has postponed all of her appointments. They are starting virtual doctor appointments here, so she might try that out.

On a plus side, I have been losing weight like crazy after giving up bread/starchy carbs. As of this morning, I was down to 157! Woot woot.

    Stay healthy ladies.

I am quickly posting to let you know that I'm alive. There has just been a lot going on. You all know about my work, but there's others things eating into my time, too.

We got an email Saturday night saying that the business we ordered our custom sofa from a month ago is closing all of their stores in Maryland and Virginia, and that if you have paid for furniture that has not been delivered you will have to either take equal value from their floor or wait until after liquidation to see how much of you money you can get back. We quickly learned that there's nothing left on their floor. I was so bummed because I had put it on a credit card to get air miles and the card with that charge was due to be paid on Monday. But because I knew work days are crazy now, I paid it Friday night. One day before we got the email at 8 p.m. the next night. Yesterday, I called the credit card company and was on hold for almost 2 hours (yep--wore a headset and just kept trying to blot out the awful music and the constant announcement about how my call was important to them so I could also work). I finally spoke to a young woman in some Asian country who told me they would try to deal with it as a disputed charge, but she also said that it usually takes 90 days at a minimum to know if that can be done. Bottom line, I think we're out most if not all of $3600.00.

And to top that off, my mortgage company also failed to correctly credit a payment. I'll explain more later. It's complicated, but trust me, it's a major snafu. I was on the phone with them Friday night, but I discovered what they told me then does not agree with my bank statements, and so the money they applied for March should be applied for April. I know I'll have to call again and wait for probably an hour or more on hold and then send them in copies of bank statements.

But, all this paled with a message I got while attending a "virtual" meeting this morning. A good friend (hubby was best man in their wedding) is quickly slipping away from ovarian cancer. We are devastated. We thought she was doing okay. And of course, now is not a time that people can go anywhere. In our county, we are asked to go out only for food or necessary medications.

I promise I'll come back soon and talk about how my activity and intake are going. Kelly, that weight loss is amazing. So happy for you. And Sheesh, that is great news about the dress. And Lois, we were getting worried and are so happy the vertigo has improved.

Great job Kelly!!! Stay focused when you get home. For food/supplies I'm using the online ordering as much as possible.

Sarah - you cc company can reverse the charge - yes it may take a couple of months, but it can be reversed. so sorry to hear about your friend... Please take care of yourself.

Sheesh - saw the earthquake near salt lake and immediately thought about you and your family. Hoping all is well up there.

Trainer is cancelling all sessions until further notice. Hoping I can get my own motivation and get on the bike, tread or even do some TRX. I have the equipment, I just need to make a plan and do it! Continuing to work from my kitchen table and had to turn on Disney+ to get something on that wasn't doom and gloom. Last night hubby and I were chatting and I really wish I could use this time more effectively. Sales offices are by appointment only and so my contracts and addenda are a bit slower. If it were ok to travel I'd go to MIL's and focus on her pre move stuff, but it's not and I don't want to be around anyone at a truck stop and possibly expose her to something. We've had her cancel her two dr. appts this week as they were general follow ups. Hoping it will be better for her to do in April or even May before we move her.

I live near the Air Force base and usually love to hear them flying above. With all that is going on, I hear them and feel a bit of sadness and a wee bit of fear to be honest. I'm fearing with all of this going on that we may have the national guard in our streets or worse, potential martial law country wide. People need to stay away from one another to keep this crap from spreading. I know families that are having play dates while the kids are home from school or going to the park. I'm even upset that my hubby's job is still open for martial arts lessons. They are limiting classes to 6 students per class and no one is touching and they are using sanitizer entering and exiting the studio, but it's still representing a small gathering. Sadly it's a small family business and hubby may not get a paycheck if they don't stay open for these small classes, but it's still a bit scary. And because he is still working I feel to be a bit of a hypocrite to tell my friends they shouldn't be having these play dates. Oh today's world issues are scary. Oh my goodness. Prayers to all of you that you all are not going as bonkers and gloomy as I am feeling.

Well, the last thing on my mind was weighing in today . . so I didn't. I'm sure I've gained. I've been stress eating, lol. Kelly, you are my role model! Great job!! How are you doing it with all the craziness happening? You are a strong woman. Hope you get home and can hunker down. I agree with Lois, the online ordering is great. Our local grocery store also has order online and pick up (they bring to your car). I even had our prescriptions transferred to a pharmacy with an outside window pickup. Stay safe.

Lois, I'm so glad your vertigo got under control. And, your word "bonkers" is perfect for what's happening. And yes, we had a 5.7 earthquake this morning and it was wild! The shutters on my windows were rattling like there were 10,000 ghosts flying through them, and the floor rolled and rocked, and there was a low roar happening :o We've had aftershocks too (last I saw it was 57 of them) and there was a 4.6 aftershock that felt so strong. Thankfully, nobody hurt or killed, but damage downtown and west of town. Hubby checked our house, gas lines etc. and that of our widowed and divorced neighbor ladies. <3 Between that and this crazy virus and the wedding, my nerves are shot!

Sarah, yes your cc company will reverse the charge. I've had to do that in the past also. It's actually a good thing you paid with a credit card, and not with cash or check. You'll get you money back. Insist on it.

Lois, I'm glad you're working from home. I wish your hubby could too. And people are so dumb with the playdates, etc. Did you see the crowds of Spring break idiots in Florida? Florida has one of the largest elder populations. WTH? The governor should clamp down. I had my trainer come on Monday (after checking in with her that she and her family were all healthy), but I decided to cancel her tomorrow. I'm paying her anyway. I also cancelled my cleaning ladies and paid them anyway. Workers need to keep their families and the economy going. Hubby canceled his PT sessions for the next while. All my kids are working from home and schooling their children from home. Life is weird and stressful right now. But, I decided to turn off the news, and hubby and I are playing Yahtzee and cards, lol.

Thinking of all of you . . and praying this all passes soon.

    LW: 143.2
    TW: 142.0

I'm taking time I really shouldn't to check in here, but I worked from 8 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. yesterday with just short breaks for lunch and dinner, so I think I'm due. I am not paid overtime.

My weight has bounced from a low of 141.0 to a high of 143.6 throughout the week. So although I'm down on weigh-in day, I'm still just in a holding pattern. I think stress and extra sitting and not being able to meet my buddy at the mall (retail is closed here) are taking a toll.

Sheesh, I'm glad to hear that you didn't suffer damages from the earthquake. I have been so busy with work, I didn't realize it hit in your area. I also paid my cleaning lady but told her not to come. I think it's the right thing to do for both her safety and ours. We talked about asking her to use our vacuum and products rather than those she uses in other homes and offices, but at the end of the day, it's best to just pay to keep our spot in line.

And as far as the credit card charge goes, I'm not holding out too much hope because they contact the merchant first and all stores here are closed. But at least, if I lose the money, I will still eat. I have to look at things that way to stay somewhat centered. But I hope that you two ladies are right though.

I have been managing to get on the TM for 30 minutes each night, but not much else for activity. Last night, part of my steps were logged for today because midnight came and went while I was walking. But so be it. I think I managed to get 5000 steps in before midnight, and that was no small feat.

Everyone, please, please stay safe. I'm alarmed at how many people still think this is not a big deal. It is.

Kelly, I hope you made it home safely, and Lois, I hope that you continue to feel better. Hearing you talk about working out is great because it means that you're really feeling better.

Just a quick check in - my trainer said she'd meet last night and got in a quick session... It felt great. She pushed me a bit harder and I'm a feeling it today. We will probably do it by Zoom next week...but I really needed to get out of the house. We've had some crazy rain the past couple of days and our yard has been flooded. Hoping we keep our clear sky today.

Last night I broke my social distancing- not by choice. A local Italian restaurant the one of our martial arts parents are owners had a special -so I ordered - after confirming they were going to have a pick up area outside of the restaurant. So I arrived after my workout, still damp and stinky, to a line of about 30+ people. I was going to just turn around, when I saw several people leaving with food and the line was moving pretty well. Found out there was a different line to pay - ok...3 people in front but ok...so I paid and then went to the back of the line...kept the distance from the person in front of me, the person behind me was a nurse and she kept a good distance and the person behind her is currently in chemo...she kept inching up. After an hour and half of waiting in line, the peeps behind me just kept creeping closer and closer - UGH...I even was complaining that I was cold due to my sweaty shirt and capris and I was stinky that did not get them to back the eff off. So I stepped off to the side. UGH PEOPLE! I am sticking with delivery services. I am concerned about some of the smaller businesses and franchises, such as this one last night. Anyway for $35 we got salad, pizza , spaghetti, meatballs and some dough balls. They offer these specials monthly and it's quite tasty. Just did not plan on standing in the line all night.... the pizzas were taking longer to bake and they normally limit this special but with the dining room being closed, they took pretty much everyone's orders.

I'm still working from home today and able to delve into some database clean up - actually feel good about what I'm getting done.

MIL is still home and staying inside. Her dr appts have all been by telephone and they are also telling her to stay at home. Her neighbor has been super helpful getting her groceries and such. So all is well here.

Just checking in to read your updates. Lois, it's smart to stick to delivery only. People are so dumb, and I don't think younger people are taking this seriously at all. Glad your MIL is following instructions, and is okay. Glad you got your workout . . and Zoom is a great alternative if your trainer can do that.

I still did a weight training workout on Thursday without my trainer. She writes down all our sessions with weights and reps, etc. So, I just did a previous workout. She didn't want to do Zoom because her twins and 4 yo boy are in her hair all day, lol. I just texted photos hubby took, and texted what I did. It was a good workout. Today, hubby and I walked outside in our neighborhood. Not many were out (it's only 50 degrees here), but the people who were kept far away from each other, but just waved.

Sarah, the earthquake on top of the virus rattled my nerves. I think I felt another aftershock this morning, but I might just be on edge and imagining things. Yesterday we tried the local grocery store online ordering and they bring it to your car. It worked great until the girl who brought it to us knocked on my window and proceeded to be a bit of a close talker! Good grief . . . just put it in the back! I opened the lift door, and it's already paid for. Duh.

    Stay safe ladies.

    Crazy times for sure!!!

Well this spring I planted our veggie garden again. My usual vegggies, zuch, squash, bell peppers and eggplant. No cucumber was to be found. l left some space so if I come across it in week or so I can add it. I also ordered chicken from perdue to be delivered in a few weeks...that's about when I'll need it and I won't have to worry about it at the store. Missing Rhea and can't wait to see her.

Today I dressed as if I were going into the office and then I walked down to the mailbox and back. Felt like i was out and about and headed to work. I've read that sometimes helps keep you in the office mode. I'm also making myself go upstairs for the restroom and move around a bit more. The weather's been beautiful but we are expecting more rain tomorrow. For now, I will enjoy it. Hoping the trainer time works well tomorrow.

Sheesh - I can't bellieve your delivery person! Mine are always so considerate, though they have stopped that option for a few days. I had to go to a different store for my veggies this week.

Hubby's work cancelled the morning fitness class - even tho they were limiting it to 5 people. He is there now trying to figure out how to do it by video. The downside is that the group usually gets to hit the bags and they won't have that option at home...that's a huge draw for his class. We shall see. The house is nice and quiet at the moment.

I did meal prep so hoping to not order in quite as much this week as we did last week. The wallet is taking a hit. back to work.

Hello, everyone. Like Sheesh, I'm dropping in just to see if there are posts and to say hello. I must admit that over the past few days, I have not been logging my food very well, and that's a problem. I used to be able to remember things for days. Now I have trouble remembering what I had for dinner last night!

Sheesh, we had one very warm day and then went back to highs around 50, too. And today it's raining. So I'm not getting much activity in other than my half hour on the treadmill each day. I thought yesterday I would do some closet cleaning and burn calories that way, but I had no energy. Even after two nights with extra sleep, there was nothing in the tank. I think that being isolated may affect people in many ways.

I am very concerned about my sister. She has a terrible lung issue that they have never really diagnosed. It's kind of like asthma. And my brother-in-law is just not getting how careful older people and those who have underlying health condition should be. I know without doubt she could not survive COVID-19.

Well, I finally got a 10 minute break and team lead is calling. I will be back later. Hope everyone and their friends and loved ones are well.

Hi all! I typed up a post a few days ago from my phone and of course when I went to hit send/post, it all deleted on me. I was frustrated and gave up. Figured I'd wait until I was logged in to my work computer, where I normally post from.

I'm working from home.. thank goodness. I really didn't want to chance getting stuck up north in a camp, away from my family. Unfortunately Shawn and the kids Mom, both have to physically go to work. It scares me a bit that Shawn has to go to work, but he doesn't have a choice. He can't do his job from home. One of their other plants that is located in Michigan, was shut down the other day as their plant manager is sick with coronavirus. Scary situation. As of right now, our province is doing quite well as our numbers as of this morning are only 21 with no deaths. Our province is taking a bunch of flack though because as of right now, the only way you can get tested is if you have traveled AND you are presenting symptoms. If you're just presenting symptoms, then you can't get tested. This is leading everyone to think that our numbers are much higher than what is being presented. All we can do is keep to ourselves and hope for the best. We do worry about layoffs though as Shawn isn't in an essential service business. At least my job should be secure.

Quick check in for now. Just know that I'm thinking about you all on a daily basis.. stay safe and healthy!

I'm so happy to see that you're all safe and healthy. We are also. The kids are working from home, and the grandkids are getting school at home still. They extended the school closure here until May 1. It's been hard on our kids to be workers and teachers. . everyone is getting their patience stretched for sure.

Since I'm still paying my trainer, I did weight training and some cardio last Thursday and yesterday. We have ventured out for walks together (weather permitting, avoiding passersby). I'm sure I've gained weight though. I'll weigh and report tomorrow. Today, we cleaned the house ourselves . . good lord, I'm giving my cleaning ladies a raise. I had to just vacuum the stone floors and I put off wiping them down for another day . . I'm worn out! :p But everything else is clean. Gotta get to some closets and drawers soon . . .

Like you Lois, I'm trying to get up and dressed to work, workout, call friends and relatives, cook and stay positive . . and forget about how restricted we are. I really miss my grandkids. I FaceTime with them, but it's been way too long since I got to snuggle them. Even our step granddaughter here is staying away. But, we did FaceTime with her Sunday.

Sarah, I called my sister because I'm so worried about her too. She's older and has some health issues. I was happy to hear she's laying very low, and isn't babysitting her grandkids like she normally does too much. I pray your sister stays healthy. What do you think about Trump saying he wants us back to work by Easter? I don't want my kids to do that if this virus is still going strong.

Kelly, your province is doing great. New York and the Bay area of California are in dire straits. My state has 298 cases, and has had one death. The county I live in is the most populated of the state, and it has 124 residents and 3 visitors confirmed. Keep working from home, and I hope Shawn and the kiddos stay healthy. <3

My daughter has started to think about postponing the wedding. :'( She contacted all her vendors to see what dates in August or Sept they might have open. It's really sad to read about all the couples who have had to cancel weddings, honeymoons, etc. A lot of them are just out the money too. She reads about them on wedding sites. She is using zola.com.

Be back tomorrow. Tomorrow is our 44th wedding anniversary.
