My hubby and I had a walking date with a couple we are close friends with. We talked, laughed and just got caught up. After that we went back and sat in thier yard for a while. We practiced safe distancing outside. We just talked...no meals no drinks just good company. Isn't it intresting...it takes something like this virus to help us to realize we don't have to entertain or be entertained...people make us happy especially the special ones. The visit is just what we needed. They had the same expressions too.
It was a good day.
@craigo3154 So sorry.๐ฅบ I know it must feel like the floodgates have opened with everthing going on. Sounds like you have a great support system at home with ones that love you. Lean into that and let it be a source of comfort. Please know you have always been an encouragement to me as well as so many in this group.
Your pics were amazing. The birds are beautiful and unusual.
Hang in there.8 -

Exercise was 20 min inside workout + 5 min stretching.
Found out that my godmother died this morning. She was only in her early 60s and it was completely unexpected -- possibly heart attack but they haven't determined yet. Apparently called an ambulance but didn't make it. Please keep her family esp her husband and 3 kids in their 20s-30s in your prayers especially given how difficult this time is anyway with coronavirus lockdowns.12 -

@craigo3154 Oh my gosh, what a frightening thing to have happen! I'm sorry you're having to deal with a bunch of testing at such an awful time. Take good care of yourself.
@julilemouse83 I love that planter! I have an herb garden on my deck, have chocolate mint as well. I thought I recognized some of those herbs! I wish mine were in a raised planter, that would be amazing. Thai basil is awesome, I put a mix of 30 basil and sage seedlings out right before it hailed and only the sage and Thai basil (basically purple basils) survived. I love how brand-new planted seedlings look. Can't wait to do some more gardening!

@cjane917 I'm so sorry to hear of your Godmother's death, prayers for all of you.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, though I'm waylaid from overdoing too much walking/dancing-type cardio and fried my calves, I need to keep my feet up and wait for the pain and spasming to calm down, currently have ice packs on my calves to help the burning. From what I've read it's repetitive cardio for long amounts of time, I'm fine with the combo of stair treadmill/bike that I normally do daily. No leg weights either, man this sucks! I did yoga, chair exercises on a stability ball, stability ball stretching, and foam rolling plus my ab and plank challenge.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Barely, I have to cut what I eat by quite a bit to make up for no cardio/barely any steps so I was starving today! Hopefully I'll be less hungry tomorrow without as much working out today.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes7 -

Walking and gardening.
Reading the plights of others on this challenge and our current world plague should remind us that without health, we have nothing. And that is why we have accepted this challenge and control what we can. ๐6 -
day 7
Good on track day
yes x 3More or less satisfying of exercise or recreation. Got to the trailhead before sunup.
Air a bit brisk. A speck of a breeze.
Climbed "The Road" for 2,000.
98 minutes for that climb. Moderate cardio effort.
I used to be faster. I used to be younger.
I shouldn't be so obsessed with those numbers. Don't see myself shedding that habit though.
On track for a 30,000 foot month. I wonder if Strava would call that an Everest equivalent.
Heh! They got a thing called "Everesting" but that means do it all in one swell foop. Not like me spreading it out over 30 days.
My gps watch fizzled on that climb. Told me battery low. So I pushed the save button and switched to tracking with my smart phone.
I keep thinking I want a new watch. I want one that will hold a charge for the duration of my exercise and track elevation accurately.
I hate to buy expensive sports equipment though. Seems like my luck will be buy something and then my knee will give up. How's that for positive attitude?
Thinking about @craigo3514. Wishing good on that eye. Liking that Kookaburra.
Thinking about @cjane917 friends' family. Using those thoughts to adjust some of my attitudes towards some relationships.5 -
