Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes. Did you see my gardening pic on the other thread. And 20 minutes of exergame rainbow making. Too dreary-wet a weather-evening for our usual walk.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes lower-cal intake (normal for a weekend plus exercise gaming leaves me 114 to the green as of 10:00 pm.

I absolve you of a Pass Day!
Father Rick
Go and do whatever you believe to be true!
Thanks to Father Rick's absolution re the Friday diary-close reset (see April 4 entry about that) I am back to:

Yes x3
Even though it's been harder for me to do so due to stay-home life, I'm trying to not have wine at least one day a week. Today was that day.8 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - 115 minutes on exercise ring, and I closed all three rings every day this week.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes - 1,993 / 2,000
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes.
Tomorrow’s Monday so I am back to working normal daytime hours. It is much easier to not want to over eat when my day is not split between working all night and sleeping for a few hours when I get home.9 -
Yes x3. Wasn’t feeling great today and almost took a pass to avoid a workout. But I found some motivation and got in an upper body workout with cardio intervals.11

On track day
- 3 x yesDowntick, I been having some insomnia.
Uptick - got a good exercise pattern going for the month. A little bit ahead of my goal of 1,000 of climb per day. Maybe I get that Strava climb badge this month.
Downtick - I am reminded of desperation and crime when I go outside to exercise. Desperation, I don't know, maybe just the creepiness of drug abuse.
Uptick, my alcohol consumption is down. Having stretches of a few days of no alcohol.
Downtick, I bought a half pint of cheap whiskey.
Uptick, I haven't opened it yet.
I ought to put a picture of something weird.
I got this pic as a background screen on my Android devices.
Seems like a picture of dirt. Well, it is.
But when I am going up the road at like 4 mph I do plenty of looking at the dirt, well, tracks in the dirt.
This dirt has scratches or tracks in it that aren't in the direction that vehicles or anything would be moving. Scratching my head for a good while wondering how those scratches came to be. There aren't tracks by it like any sort of animal or bird foot print. No kind of loose weeds that could have blown across and left a weird pattern like that.
I got this idea now of what it is.
There is some black squirrels around here. I always look at them and they always look at me. You know how they are.
But I think what these tracks are from when a squirrel gets picked up by a hawk.
Those scratches are the squirrel's desperate grasping at the ground as it is getting picked up for a flying lesson.
I could be wrong about those tracks... but I haven't been seeing my squirrel pals that I normally see around there.8 -

@oldDogBiking That's an interesting photo. Here's my two cents: I doubt the scratches are from when a squirrel is struggling as a hawk picks it up. I believe (and could be wrong) that there are too many marks too close togther for a death-struggle like that.
However, I think the marks could still be from a squirrel. Right now, squirrels are building their nests for their spring babies, or sprucing up old nests they plan to use again.
Squirrels like to bite off soft pieces of evergreens, maybe 6 inches to a foot, small enough to drag to the nest. I'm finding these short evergreen pieces all over my deck and yard right now. My best guess is the scratches in the photo are from a squirrel dragging pieces of evergreens across the dirt to a tree. You might look up near the scratches to see if you can spot some squirrel nests.
There might be another answer to the mystery, though!
Keep walking and telling us about your hikes!

Perfect timing for the intro, Pass Day #1 for me. Unplanned, it started with a boozy phone lunch date with friends. One glass of wine turned into one glass of wine and three martinis!!!! Lol so I ate half a pepperoni pizza for dinner to soak it all up.
It was fun and I think we needed to let loose.8 -
Yes x 3 🦞🦞🦞. Maybe try a run today, the sun ☀️ is out!6
