@Dory_42 and @BMcC9 opened yesterday's discussion with the idea of the Non Scale Victories. The graphics above are the usual 15th of the month conversation starters.
My NSV is based on this concept, "You are only as fit as whatever exercise you are currently used to doing." I got home from getting fit for 1.5 to 2 hour desert hikes in Phoenix, and found out that I was 'unfit' to walk horses in the sandy round pen and arenas. In addition, I was unfit to ride a horse at a walk for 43 minutes.
This is my third week home with my new routine, I'm getting better with the new challenges.
What else is new with you?13 -

@RangerRickL
Big virtual hug to you and your siblings. It is a precious moment your bio-dad still remembers all of his children and you were able to speak with him.
It's telling what a strong and close family you have when all can gather and make such a decision for a loved one. Certainly not easy and one filled with so many different emotions.
Sending strength and prayers.9 -
YesX three. Today was my first day meeting with a trainer after some conditions allowing us to meet in her home for a session. Masks worn/ disinfecting everything. I had been meeting her to help with learning how to lift safely with some injuries I have. It took me a reallllly long time to get up to those lifts and now we are starting all over again with body weight exercises. It’s extremely frustrating. I feel like it is back and forth all the time. But then again a few months ago I was having major mood swings and really suffering from almost like a shock depression. Seeing and being in Asia from the start of this whole covid thing has been awful. I can’t express enough how horrified Ive been seeing something coming and not being able to do a thing about it. Unfortunately my work background and education in healthcare left me terrified for everyone’s wellbeing. I know a lot of people are experiencing struggles right now and each day is difficult. I’m still struggling but my major non scale victory is the emotional stabilization that comes with regular exercise and healthy eating.14

@RangerRickL Glad to help while you are going through tough time. My thoughts with you and your family.
I had a great day. Burned loads of calories and ate most of them but still under budget. Exercise included 5km run and a Jiu Jitsu session and a short walk to visit my nieces and nephew and back. Food choices were ok except for the Cinnabon the girls had made but I couldn't refuse their baking. I did manage to cover my kitchen in soup which my dog was very happy about and helped clean up while my housemate laughed at us.14 -
Yes to all three. 30 minute jog.
Hard to think it's past the halfway point. It's been really surprising how quickly that time has gone and it's been nice having that accountability - I've definitely done some exercise on days I wouldn't have and it's given me time to think twice before picking up a chocolate bar as it'll only put me 100 calories over and that's nothing...12 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 3 hours walking with my dog
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
Half way! This month is passing so quickly.
Thank you all so much for creating, organising and participating in this group. It is definitely helping me to track every day. Before it was so easy to just 'not feel like tracking' that day, and feeling like if I didn't log it then it didn't really count..but with this group I don't want to fail myself!
I have found that taking the time to evaluate my day and post this before bed each day is helping me make better choices the next day too!
I'm sure that with every small daily success i will eventually see big changes!14 -
Yes x three - a nice long walk with a friend, and calories (just) under goal. I am really appreciating this reminder to make myself get outside for some exercise each day, I always feel better for it.
I really feel for all the people struggling out there right now. I'm having good days and bad days but trying to take it all a day at a time. Today was good.13 -

No alcohol day so filled that hole with bread pudding from a local takeout place.
Yes, it's interesting how you adjust to new things. I'm now in great daily-80-minute-walk-shape and good with calisthenics, but would probably be sore were I able to return to parkour.7 -
Logged and Under? Yes.
Exercise? Yes, a 46 minute walk and 23 minutes of beginner strength.
2 Pass Days Used
@rstanford3, Happy Anniversary!5 -
Yes, yes, and yes. It was a good day.
My latest NSV is fitting into 34 waist Levis, first time since high school! And that was a very long time ago. Last year I was wearing size 62 pants, big change. When I start to put the new Levis on I can't believe my body will fit into such small pants.14 -
Yes, yes & yes4

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yep! 43 minutes of pilates focused on the booty and HIIT cardio. 63 minutes of walking too.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yep! I did eat back most of the exercise calories.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep!
My NSV: I’ve been measuring myself too and I’ve lost a couple of inches this month already. I’m also finding joy in going on longer walks and my feet don’t feel as tired as they have in the past.
