As we start a new week, let's be positive and uplifting...
what are you grateful for today?6 -
I am so very grateful to be gainfully employed, in a job I enjoy, with the ability to work remote. I am also thankful for the roof over my head and the healthy selection of foods I have in my home. I am especially thankful to awakening to a new day.
Thank you Ranger Rick for keeping us on a positive path.11 -
I am very grateful for:
- being gainfully employed
- in a sector that will continue to work remotely
- in a cadillac of a home-office setting (age as in being an empty nester in a mortgage-free house DOES have its privileges .... don't have to use the kitchen table / dining room table or try to work around needs of small-to-school-aged kiddlets)
- good health of everyone in my immediate circle (and their circles too)
- today's weather (bright, warm .... not snowing .... I live in Eastern Ontario, Canada - we had a-typical snow blow through in MAY)
- my coffee maker (Belgian Chocolate flavour today) and breadmaker (fresh raisin bread and white bread both baked on the weekend)

Wow, where do I start? My life is awesome!
I'm grateful that I get to train Jiu Jitsu again, that I have such an amazing job and a stable salary which is more than enough for my needs. I'm grateful that my family and friends are all healthy. I'm grateful for the incredible city we live in. Today I walked with one friend in farmland and bush with buck within 5 km of home and met another friend at the beach for an adventure with her dogs. (Over 2 hours of walking). I could go on forever about the blessings in my life!
My food choices were good and I came home from the shops with no treats. I'm under calories without exercise and the scale was being kind. I've prepped food for the next work shift and I'm ready for the two good days before the next cold front hits...10 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 9km run, 2.5 hour dog walks

What a great thought. Every night before I go to bed I try to think of 3 things that happened that day that made me happy or I am grateful for.
I am grateful for my life.
Although I am currently unemployed, it has given me the time to study and gain qualifications to change career to build a better future. I am grateful to my partner for supporting me in this time.
I am grateful for my dog. He brings me such happiness and joy. During the confinement he gave me the permission to leave my house and walk a little. (We didn't have daily exercise allowance here in Spain). These opportunities really helped my mental health during that time.
There are so many things I am grateful for every day, but I will keep it at these two for now!11 -
Yes to all three today - back on track. My exercise was lots of walking (with a 14kg toddler on my hip /shoulders for most of it) and some yoga.
I'm grateful for so many things.
Family, friends, my health. I'm also grateful that I grew up in an open minded and tolerant atmosphere and live in a very Liberal city that cares a lot (Bristol UK).8 -

I am grateful for a wonderful husband. We will celebrate 36 years of marriage next week. I'm grateful, too, to be able to work remotely and to have designated space in the house that is just for my use. I am also grateful not to be working alone; my kitty is usually by my side.
Today I am going to have to use my first pass. I did exercise, but eating this afternoon was a bit out of control. I'm trying to figure out what went wrong to try to avoid a repeat.8 -
8 June Consistently up and moving today. Didn't have time to engage couch potato mode at all and I hope that helps me to sleep better.

Yes, yes, yes
Walking and starting to do some videos while hanging out with my dog.
So much to be grateful for that is not mentioned. My dog had major surgery and seems to be recovering well. My kind loving husband and 98 year old mother though I have not been permitted to see her for several months. I am so grateful she is still healthy and doing okay. Yesterday she sounded so frail but today she sounded stronger. On days when I am feeling blah, I seem to get meaningful calls from my adult sons which still surprises me to this day that they reach out to me on a regular basis. It is something that really makes me feel blessed. Family, health, having a job... It is easy to go on when you start to focus on it but I will stop here.6 -

Calories - Yes - way under
Something happened today - I didn't get around to eating lunch. Not in a stressed-out, resentful of whatever is standing between me and lunch kind of way. More of a happily-prioritizing-other-things kind of way. I don't think it's a good thing to skip meals or eat way too few calories regularly, but this was the first time in a very long time that my thoughts and behaviors throughout the day weren't dominated by food. We'll see if it's a breakthrough or a fluke.
I'm grateful to feel safe in my community. I'm grateful that I take that for granted.11 -

I'm grateful that I was able to pray and read the Bible with my children today. When my 2nd son was 18, he was in a wreck and received a traumatic brain injury. Every day I would read the Bible to him, even the days he was unconscious. The Doctor would remind me that he only had a 10% chance of recovery from his brain shearing. During rehab, I would say half of different verses, and he would complete them, even though he couldn't even remember what state we lived in and gave some ridiculous answers to other questions. Either me or my husband was with him at all times and would alternate bringing our 7
other children in for a quick daily visit and prayer. A year to the day later, Jared was a tech at the same ER to which he had been life-flighted. Now he is an RN and married with 2 children.

Today, I'm grateful that our oldest grandchild, Lucy, 14 years, stayed at our home last night. She is the only grandchild who rides horses with her grandfather...me.
We spent 3 hours outside here on the farm. We rode and talked together. For some reason, she suddenly asked me,
"Grandpa, horse back riding exercises your core muscles, right?"
Yes it does.
I'll be 70 in August. I am the only one that I've furloughed from my law firm. Although, our business is down, the income and workload have been sufficient to keep the other 18 people employed and serving our clients. I feel very blessed.
Both my wife, Rose and I are healthy and we have beautiful places to be isolated during this pandemic.
This was a yes x 3 day.20
