Welcome Fat2Fit Challengers!

The June team threads are up! Please remember to post here about anything that needs to be shared with the moderators and/or other captains. Please also drop by any time, particularly if you have any ideas or questions.

Spreadsheets will be out shortly. Note that this month, we have a new feature for those team members who have reached goal. It is called the GOAL ZONE. Once you reach goal weight, you join the Goal Zone, meaning that you stay on the team and continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above you self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team!

Have a good June everyone!

Good morning :) The link at the bottom of Weight No More's May chat leads to the Waist A Ways June page. I am not sure if you can do anything at this point but thought I would ask just in case. Thanks!

Oh NO! I wondered what was going on. But the May chats are closed now, so it should not cause any problems. I'll still go back and fix it though...

@jugar Kmfeig87/Team Trimstones...I missed her final weigh in for May, so I filled it in on the May spreadsheet and removed the NWI (my fault...apologies). Secondly, I've updated her Starting weight on the June spreadsheet and removed the NSW designation (again, my fault...sorry). I changed them without even thinking...all I do all day is Excel spreadsheets, so it's like 2nd nature...

Go ahead...beat me with a wet noodle...

No. Wet noodles have too many calories and not enough stamina for whipping anyone!!! You saved me the time, and let me know about it - so all the bases are covered! I'm having such a battle with MFP right now over the non-functioning of my fave search feature that makes doing tallies and catching missed weigh-ins easy, so any help from totally spreadsheet savvy captains is welcome! As long as I know about it

I have an lcloopy who is reporting their week 1 weigh-in but she's not in TrimStones. I went to the registration page for Jun and I can see where she signed up but can't find which team to which she was assigned. I was going to cut and paste her entry on that team's Jun discussion page, but again, can't find her. Please advise and I'll do so.

    Here's her entry:

    lcloopy
    WEEK 1
    Friday 6/5
    PW: 219
    CW: 217.4

@Beka3695 @jugar Please note that Arc130 on Team TrimStones has entered Onderland this week and JOYFulNoise89 on Team TrimStones has entered Twoterville! I've made an announcement on our Discussion page but wanted to let you know as well.

I've also sent out notices to everyone who had an NWI last week and who have not yet reported for this week. Please move Caratach, sk_loves_fitness, Sw33tie and HaMaSa92 to the drop section if they do not report in (2 wks in a row). I notifed DreaRN15, but she's working extra shifts with all this COVID stuff (nurse), so likely she worked overnight...

I received a message from achagpar (she's a Dr.), who would like to drop to the cheer section for this month. She hopes to rejoin us in July.

I'm trying to stop up the "cheer" duties in our team because our one Cheerleader has been working two jobs and double shifts and just does not have time to do much. Could I possibly recruit a cheerleader...I have one or two in mind who take time to post encouragement. May I ask them? Let me know.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Jess!
The NWIs will always be moved to drop once they miss 2 weigh-ins, so that will happen for sure. DreaRn15 is well known for lateness (!) but I don't usually worry about her. Maybe she wants to move to Sunday? Then she has all week to get her weigh-in done.

Does achagpar want to move to maintenance? We now have the new Goal Zone people - it does not have to be the final goal, but an interim goal to see how it feels is fine. I am really hoping to keep the people who hit goal so that they can learn to maintain and serve as wonderful examples to the rest of the team rather than just leaving after they get there.

And please do recruit another Motivator if you need one! The duties of the motivator are:
    * Be active in team discussions, encouraging and supporting the challengers as they post.
    * Encourage challengers to participate in challenges and in group discussions.
    * Help remind challengers when they are due to post (and especially when overdue to post) weights, or steps, or whatever you work out with the team captain(s).
    * Create ideas for team participation - this can be internal team challenges, sharing videos, motivation, and workout ideas, etc.
    * Coordinate with your awesome team captains to see if they can use any assistance or if they have any specific tasks they feel you can assist with.

It is good to see if we can get the Motivators to do more than just respond to posts. Encourage them to go to other teams to see what the motivators do - probably the greatest examples are austinruadhain and katmary71 from Mission Slimpossibles. They are amazing.

Once you have decided on any new Motivator, just let me know here and I'll put them on the spreadsheet. If they need editing access to the spreadsheet (for steps or weights), I will need their email address. Thanks!

    Hello Downsizers and Mission Slimpossibles! @TeresaW1020 @broncobuddee @lindamtuck2018 and @mari_moulin -

I just figured out that kyfrancik is on both of your teams! It seems the most recent weigh-in has been on Downsizers. Somehow I did not catch that they were already on Downsizers in May, and then posted on the registration for June and got assigned to a new team. So I'll take them off of Slimpossibles. Sorry about that!

Please welcome @Emmajhare to the leadership team on team TrimStones. She's our new motivator! I just made the announcement this morning.

She's gonna do a great job...she's a very caring person and has always supported our team by being there when members needed a little nudge.

We're going go to be six months into the year on 1st July, so I wanted to post a picture of me in my (now massive) January trousers, hopefully to inspire the new folk joining us.

Unfortunately I can't work out how to post a photo because it just says 'file upload failed' every time I try.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

    Many thanks!

Great question - this is often a pain in the posterior! I am sure others have more experience with this, but I find I need to upload photos on the web rather than in the app. If they are on your phone, put them on the computer, and then go to your photo collection, open the one you want, and right click. Choose "copy image". Go to the MFP message window and just click "paste". You will then see a file name (bracket - img: blahblahblah close bracket) and then when you click Preview or Post, the picture will be there.

I'm sure there are more efficient ways, but that one always works for me.

    Greetings Captains!

I just did the pre-tally-day run through the spreadsheets and marked the early week's NWIs. Please check with these people if you can, and feel free to just enter their weight if they show up. If the NWI is red, let me know if you want them to move to support rather than being dropped. Either way, they can come back if they show up, but some people were there for a long time and might just be taking a break without letting you know.

Have a great Saturday, and prepare for some recruitment next week!

    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that as of today, Pam (@sleepymom5) will be stepping down as co-captain of Team Weight No More, and Theresa (@1theresamcvean) will be co-captain with me. Pam has been a captain since November 2018. She has just done such a great job and has always been so supportive of us. I will miss her leadership and positivity, but we are fortunate that she will be remaining on the team as a team member. I am also very fortunate that Theresa has agreed to co-captain with me. She is a fellow Torontonian, an excellent writer, and an overall amazing person. I am so looking forward to working with her!

    Thanks,
    Lisa (Cafelelia)

@jugar Got a note from Vikster11111/Team TrimStones that she's on a road trip with her daughter and doesn't have access to her scale this week. I carried her weight over from last week. FYI
