Still on my staycation in the Tofino/ Ucluelet BC area for our anniversary. It’s beautiful. Had too much wine and food and dread the scale when we get back. But have been doing my Leslie and hiking.
June 27- the big burn, 2 mile. 20,408 steps, wonderful hike
June 28, 5 of the 10 mini walks- upper, lower, interval, steady and flexibility. Really liked it. 15,999 steps.

I have been reading all your comments and everyone is doing so well. We should be proud of ourselves for a June well spent.

    You're doing great.
Feel like sharing what your audiobooks are? I'm always looking for something new.

I have been reading mystery type books lately- East of Eden by Bohjalian and then Patton Oswalt's wife's book about the Golden State Killer ("I'll be gone in the dark"). I can honestly say more than once I GOT STARTLED AND JUMPED while walking to that because a biker or runner came up behind me and I was so engrossed I didn't hear them or notice what was going on, or a few times little bunnies jumped out in front of me, and the startle was REAL Y'all! I'm sure that pumped my heart rate 20 or 30 beats for maximum burn for a few minutes AFTER!

I just borrowed Kristin Hannah's Nightingale (I've read it but never listened to it) because I'm thinking of borrowing a few of her audiobooks but wanted to see if they engage me during walks (the way they do in hardcover!). The mysteries get me up and moving for hours at a time because I don't want to stop listening.

    What do you usually read?

Inspired me to add audiobooks as a goal in July, thanks.

Happy anniversary! Sounds like it's been a wonderful trip so far. Still getting in those great step totals. I agree, I think we all had a "June well spent." :)

I've been to Vancouver but, bacpath, your comment inspired me to look at ucluelet and tofino. The scenery online is absolutely majestic. The wild pacific trail looks like a gorgeous hike-added it to my list of places to travel in the future (assuming we ever get travelling again!).

I got behind on my posting 🙃. I am finally caught up with reading everyone's posts, so now it is late... so night, night, y'all 😴.

My June goal: This month I started doing Leslie walks on the rebounder, aiming to give myself a really low impact walk, and see if I can do this or not. I can not go as fast as the DVD yet, but every step will help me. I'm also going on easy outdoor walks as tolerated, because I need to get some distance walking in.

June 1: 60 minutes porch plants & garden
    June 2: 1mile Easy Mile-WATP Express (YouTube), 30 minutes yard/garden
June 3: 1 mile Heart Healthy (YouTube), 30 minutes yard/garden
    June 4: 30 minutes yard/garden, 15 minutes walking indoors
    June 5: 1 mile Classic Mile-5 Day Slim Down, 30 minutes yard/garden
    June 6: 2+ hours yard/garden

    June 7: Rest Day!
June 8: 1 1/2 hours working in garage, 1 hour yard work
    June 9: 30 minutes outdoor walk, 40 minutes yard/garden
    June 10: 1 1/2 hours garden
June 11: 2 miles Walk the Walk, 1 hour walking portion of grocery shopping
June 12: 30 minutes easy walk outdoors
June 13: 45 minutes easy walk outdoors, 30 minutes yard/ garden

    June 14: Rest Day!
June 15: 2 miles Brisk Walk WATP Express, Flexibility Walk from Mix & Match Walk Blasters
June 16: 1 1/2 approx hours walking portion of several hours of errands & W/M shop
    June 17: 2 hours garden
    June 18: Semi rest day
June 19: 2 miles Brisk Walk WATP Express, Light Walk & Flexibility Walk from Mix & Match Walk Blasters

OUT WITH A BANG- 6.5 mile FAMILY walk with my husband and my pup, fortunately there was NO RAIN during the 2 hours. I didn't start my audiobook yet though- I guess that will be a fresh one for July tomorrow if the rain holds off.

@texasgardnr - I'd say you went beyond your goal target this month, Mary. Are you feeling stronger in that ankle?

@Deeder522 - Woot! Good on ya.

    @mypinkbikini - Big bang, indeed.

June 29- walk it off in 30, enjoyed very much. 16,675 steps
June 30- belly blasting walk and both floor routines. 10,114 steps.
Overall pleased with the month. I missed my steps only on days I was travelling and missed one day of videos/ walking. Having to be accountable to the group has really upped my game.
    See you in July.
PS I now have my 21 year old niece working out to LS.
    Thanks all

Great month, bacpath. And good to hear your niece is a Leslie fan too. :)
