@RangerRickL , glad you are home again. Looking forward to posts about it. Some AWEsome NSVs from the 15tn-16th for you to catch up on.
And may I just say a wonderfully inspiring set of 'preset opening' for while you were away ...5 -
@HASWLRS my part of Ontario is going to Level 3 as of today, how about you? (details on "now open but new-normal requirements" posted on the Gov of Ontario website.
For those not in Canada, levels explained (but kept short on details)Level 1 was almost-complete shelter-in-place with only work-from-home or essential services running - for restaurants, only drive-through / online order-to-go or delivery was available;
Level 2 was starting to open up more retail-but-curb-side-pick-up options / not work-at-home-able options (like hairdressers and restaurant on-site but patio-service-only widely spaced and limits per table - many by reservation only) and
Level 3 is even closer to "sustainable near normal" with a bit more open but maintaining social distance and other health&safetly protocols built in, including:- workplace office reconfiguration or keep at least part of staff with staggered hours or rotational working from home if business model viable
- contact tracing protocols
- masks for general public in enclosed public spaces like malls, stores, movie theatres, restaurant indoor seating unless food is in front of you ... that kind of thing
- larger "special family gathering event" numbers allowed than before in outdoor settings / eg for funeral services & weddings etc
- but still no unlimited random population / mixed-family crowds or sports&stage-show type events yet.
- elementary and secondary schools are closed for the summer anyway .... no decision yet on what model will be used in September.
I would have to go on the website to be sure which indoor places / circumstances are "provincial-gov or below says mask mandatory" vs "STRONGLY advised by all F/P/Municipal levels of public health professionals" vs "individual business might choose to make masks onsite mandatory for customers"
I am comfortable with wearing a mask anywhere it is considered advisable. Being over 60 with chronic low-level respiratory issues, I have haven't even taken advantage of the Level 2 reopening options as of mid-June. Fortunately, I also have a "work-from-home" type job AND even before last Christmas a very small-to-nonexistant social schedule and circle. So not feeling like I have been missing that much (apart from no time-to-time day-trips)8 -

Day 17 - Yes x3
15 minute HIIT, about 20 minutes yoga
Super tired/low energy today, but I pushed through. I would've felt worst if I didn't do anything at all but today's workout took a lot out of me & I didn't even perform as good as I wanted. This is usually the time when restarting my weight loss journey that I get burn out and want to quit, usually do. Instead I won't give up but I'll just have to not be so hard on myself. My worst habit, besides overeating, and going more than 2 days to almost 2 full weeks without exercising cuz I'd be tired at first, try to take a break, and then have difficulty getting back into routine. But I'm trying hard to not go more than a day without exercise and to stay consistent, even if it's a short workout. It all counts in the end.
Had another slice of my cake for dessert but didn't go beyond that, and am still well under my calorie goal, so there's that at least Keeps things balanced, and like I'm not restricting too much. I wanted a small bag of chips and a bottle of alcoholic soda but that would've been a little too much, not too much to overeat a whole lot but I'm just not sure if I really need all of that right now. I'll instead spread it out through the weekend, I think? A soda tomorrow night, maybe the chips on Sunday. Again, BALANCE!9 -

Lots of exercise again. Met my coteacher for a masked walk with her toddler. Then in the afternoon walked with my husband to get antibody tests done and pick up takeout for dinner. Wanted to get them done out of curiosity even though I know it's not necessarily very accurate. Also did 25 min exercises.4 -

Pass day number next (it's over 3)
Didn't log food just because I was lazy. Probably went over with the birthday treats at my nieces and nephew.
Exercise was frustrating and then good.
I booked an ocean Kayak session but when I got there, it was all closed up. Phoned to discover they are on lockdown and all the confirmation emails I received were automatic. They tried to call me once but didn't leave a message so I didn't know it was them. Session will still be valid when they open, but was annoying they didn't try harder to contact me. However, it was a beautiful winter day and I was at the beach in swimming gear so I jumped in and played around for a good 20-30 minutes. It was cold when I got out but great in the water. Also walked up to my nieces and nephew later for birthday treats.3 -

Yes, Balance & self-kindness
Remember, it’s 20 minutes & a gentle walk counts, too. I’ve always felt consistency is the key, so I do walk every day, but sometimes it’s faster or on hills & sometimes it’s gentle.
