Hi, my screen name is RangerRickL. I live on small farm with a dog, cat, 3 horses, and my wife, Rose. We are located 50 miles from downtown Chicago, IL, in what is called the Northern Midwestern part of the USA.

(south) Eastern Ontario, Canada - basically on the Ontario / Quebec border. Ottawa Valley - Quebec is technically NORTH of the city, and I am in a southern suburb.11

Goals/Day/Comments: I have the same goal which is to work out every day for at least 10-20 minutes and keep track of what I ate. I need to find healthy snacks or side dishes for lunch/dinner. I need to incorporate more veggies in my diet and fruits as well. But I am really lacking in the vegetable department.

I posted a link to allrecipes.com on the What's On Your Mind Today page .... maybe that (and ideas from others) will help with ideas for "sneaking veggies in when I'm not paying attention" strategies. I am not a big "reach for a salad" type either. For a time, I DID become a "veggies in the fruit smoothie" person where the taste of the fruit disguised the taste of the mild veggies (chopped cucumber and celery, maybe spinach) .... and now that I am back to maintenance, and it is High Summer, I might start having more of those again.3 -

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes... technically i was over but i vary my daily cals and work to a weekly average. Today was a planned higher cal day and I'm on track to be just under cals for this week ... i just cant be bothered to input different daily cal allowance on MFP lol

Today was also my weigh in day (I weigh weekly on a Sunday) managed to lose 1.5lbs since last Sunday so today was defo a win for me.

Yes x3 days yesterday and today. Stayed under calorie budget both days. Exercise was playing with my toddler at the park and chasing him on his litttle bike and scooter 😅. About an hour each day.

@nicadee I have been tracking my weekly average calories for many months now. I’m wondering if I should set a weekly average now (23 months maintenance)

Grandparents & relatives still living in Belfast. Visited once as a teen in 1972.

I live in a small city in Southern Ontario, Canada. Our only daughter just moved out this past school year to attend a university 9 hours away. This leaves my husband, me and an aging cat in our house. I loved Covid as my daughter came home to live with us for about 2 months (an unexpected bonus). She went back though, as her program is a research program and her university lab is open. I now work from home and am loving it.8 -
