Yes x 3 for Saturday
Ate reasonably, and tracked. Did volunteer work through our church for a local non profit that provides horse riding and experiences to kids with autism. What a cool concept! Spent the morning digging out tumbleweeds from a field. First time seeing live tumbleweeds, what an experience! I made it into a workout and really put myself into it. Pretty sore today... Feeling "RangerRickStrong" from my ranch experience7 -
Congratulations to the July winners! This is a tough challenge, and congratulations to people who show up everyday. It's good to see everyone working towards good health.
Yes x 3
Walking with dog for exercise. Then I had a bad asthma attack, and went crazy. So I vacuumed every nook and cranny, dusted everything, ran HEPA filters, and did inhalers. That was a lot of exercise. Under calories.7 -
Yes x 3. Took the kittens to the vet, and the subsequent administering of three types of liquid meds was a workout in itself, lol, but I did do about 45 minutes of walking. Weekends are active rest days for me. I logged everything, and came in under budget. I tend to eat less on weekends, simply because I don’t move as much, and I’ve set my calorie limits based on my weekday activity levels using a TDEE calculator.
Here’s to everyone having a successful August.6 -

Yes: 1 ,977 out of 2,080.
Yes.
This is not my first time joining this group, however I have always used way more then my 3 pass days then just dipping out. I have set much more realistic calorie restrictions so I don’t feel starved. ( I always feel I am when I am limited to 1,200 1,500). I also decided that maybe 130 is a little low for someone 5’9 so my new goal is 140lb. I took I picture of my gut this morning and plan to track the progress weekly. I don’t plan to loose all 10lbs this month. The plan is to set healthy eating habits and maybe 5 lbs.
This is a "setting up strategies for the rest of your life" thing, not a "sprint, then 'back to normal' thing ... congratulations on recognizing the need to adjust your expectations.
If you have a tape measure .... maybe the change in waist measurement over the month (rather than the scale) will be a more satisfying and encouraging Measure of Success for you .... depending on your fitness / activity strategies, you might be getting close to where the shape will change, but the number on the scale not-so-much as muscles get leaner and tighter, and take up less space. Or body composition alters.3 -
Congrats to those in the last months winner's circle!
Pass day for August 1st.
I skipped breakfast, tracked lunch, and forgot to track dinner!

FYI: "tracking all my calories in food and drink" means "liquid that HAS calories"be it coffee (with or without milk / cream or sugar), soft-drinks, wine or beer, that kind of thing.
(do go ahead and track your water too if you wish, even report it if you want to, but not essential for meeting UAC daily requirements)
And people often report their stats the next day.1 -

Pass Day #1
Tracked: Yes
Calories: Yes
Exercise: No
I'm not sure how an entire day off slipped by with no active activities at all... I was wearing workout clothes and everything! I did a little walking, cooking, and cleaning, but for my fitness level and goals, I really can't in good conscience call any of it exercise.
Kind of a wake up call... I have a minor foot injury which limits my usual running routine, but I can't let it be an excuse to not move at all! Looking forward to being more mindful about my health for the rest of the month!3 -

Bring your minor foot injury to "What On Your Mind, Today" and let us help you brainstorm alternatives! UAC official Q&A is quite flexible on this point - so don't deprive yourself of 3xY days unnecessarily while waiting out the healing!1
