Middle splits

Hi!

So, I´m not a pole dancer, but I practice yoga for about a year now. Anyway, I`ve been working on getting my middle splits (still so far from the floor!). Amongst a few other things, I´ve been doing that passive strech on the wall. I was wondering when it´s ok to start using weights in my ankles, since I´m still pretty far from the splits, but make progress oh, so slowly...

Any other tips are welcome, too!
