Morning gym session, coaching kids and then attending adult Jiu Jitsu class. Actually learnt a new move in checking details for the technique we were teaching the kids. Good food choices including the delicious liver pâté I made last week. Probably a bit low on the intake side but yesterday did not go as planned as our power was out. Is back today but only a temporary cable they ran to us and our neighbours while they figure out how to fix the problem.
Interesting situation at work, one of our juvenile penguins was found in the parking lot yesterday evening. Someone called one of the staff and none of us can figure out how he got there from the enclosure. Of course he is called Rasputin (all our lockdown babies got Disney names) so I’m guessing he used his evil magic powers to escape.10 -

Despite not worrying about being within my calorie budget for the last week, and averaging more like maintenance than loss levels, I've somehow lost half a kilo this week. I know how this fluctuates from one week to another, but it was still a nice surprise this morning.
I also completed all three runs for my first week of C25k which feels like a small but significant victory! 🙂6 -

@ginadomaszewicz I actually fully planned to my last pass and had saved it for today. Then yesterday, I decided I wanted chinese and put together a plan. We could not go out for my birthday because hubby just flew home last night from Florida (brought his mother to her home) and Massachusetts requires 2 week quarentine or negative COVID test after returning to the state. We have him scheduled for a test Wednesday AM. Now, if I want, I could have a piece or two of halloween candy and use that past pass. See, I'm not so virtuous. :P

After watching an hour's worth of YouTube videos about proper KB swing form, I think this is a tie for my fastest time (even though I've been using heavier and heavier DBs for the strength portion; I'm on 20lbs/12lbs drop sets since last week).
The trick today was NOT doing any other exercise during the day, not even walking. And, I think it helped that yesterday was an actual rest day. Lastly, I've been squeezing my planks in between sets but today was a plank rest day. The stars aligned!
Without stressing out my hip flexor - hopefully - I can shave another 3-4 minutes off my time before month end.7 -

Went on a longer-than-expected adventure today:
Walked 20 minutes to the local firehouse for a free cvs flu shot but when arrived we were told by the covid testers that the cvs tent has just stopped showing up most days (?) so then walked a few more blocks to cvs. First they told us they couldn't do any more tests today and then they agreed to but then only found my husband's insurance and couldn't verify mine (we're on the same plan) so we paid out of pocket to get reimbursed later. we also had to wait 35 minutes including paperwork processing time. Then realized later that she never gave me back my insurance card so I'll have to request another 😂
Finally, walked north another ten blocks to drop off my ballot and continued the walk home.
10 k steps by tonight. And my arm hurtsBut at least I'll be safer this winter!

yes x's 3...thankfully the coffee and pastry shop I tried to go to today was closed...or I would have been over...; got bitten on my thumb today and needed stitches...but will be ok; dr. says new test results from the oncologist will be ready on Monday... would love your prayers and best wishes that it isn't positive! ;D7
