House cleaned for exercise today. Air still hazardous. We’re keeping our spirits up, but really this has been going on since mid-August with only a one week break. It doesn’t even feel like fall because “Wait where was summer?!?!” 😂8 -

Happy birthday!
Pass day 2 for me. I walked to the shops in the morning and bought a few treats for the weekend. I only buy small portions but then proceeded to eat the entire weekends stash for lunch. I did some yoga and made healthier food for early supper as I had a late Jiu Jitsu class and needed the energy. That pushed me over my budget but only by 200 so it wasn’t too bad. I use a TDEE calculation which already accounts for exercise calories as well. I hadn’t closed my Apple rings and can’t wear my watch at Jiu Jitsu so I was skipping and running around the house before I left for class.
Class was tough but fun. Very active drills and I was always tired. My first round was against a youngster who pushes hard and has limited control on her submissions so I had no choice but to scramble constantly. By the end of the round I needed to use my asthma pump. Quickly into the next round against another female blue belt so equally matched and therefore a super tough round as well. By the end of that round my chest was closing again and I knew that pushing again would end badly so I sat out the last two rounds. Coach was happy with how I had scrapped again today and he knows that I’m pretty good at judging how hard I can push my lungs. I’ve got my asthma under control most of the time, and if I judge it properly will only sit out one round and then jump back in. A weekend to rest from Jiu Jitsu before we jump back in again on Monday!
I did get an email about a new reward offered through my bank. I use the same company for multiple products because they have excellent reward systems and the more products you have the greater your rewards. So the latest is getting a mile (their reward currency which is usable through multiple platforms - I’m saving mine towards flights for my trip to Florida and the Caribbean next year) for every point you earn for driving well and exercise. I already meet my points goals for both categories every week to get the other rewards (some of which include paying the full instalment on both my Apple Watch and iPhone) but my normal goal is below the limit for the extra miles so I will increase my exercise points weekly to get the max rewards! This does mean I’m running in the rain this morning, but it gives me another 300 miles!8 -

Thank you EVERYONE for your Happy Birthday wishes! I love the "e-card pictures" that got posted too.
Yes the roast beef will be on Friday (9th) instead of Thursday (8th), and ...
OF COURSE the first piece of the pumpkin pie (1/4 of an 8" pie / no whipping cream) was savored on the 8th.
With an evening walk with DH added in I even met all goals! (the Friday celebratory dinner will include the whipping cream and was pre-planned from the start as a TENTATIVE pass-day .... we'll see how it turn out)
Oct 8:
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - more than 50 minutes outdoor walking total (~ 20 with friend before supper / ~ 30 with DH after supper)
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes - and didn't even get near to the end of the available exercise calories
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
Days goals met: 7
Pass days used: 1 (unplanned)
