If you have not yet posted your NSVs, now is the time.
If you have not read yesterday's NSVs, please go back and read them. I am so happy to have read what was posted there!

I too like @MaltedTea 's "eat the frog" attitude. That is what turns "haveta" into "routine feels off if I don't"
I am getting back into playing "Go for the Green" every morning. This is a similar idea, but in the realm of getting food pre-logged for most of the day. Then refine as I go along.8 -
Urgh, no Jiu Jitsu for me today. As kids class ended Coach posted a message that everyone who trained on Sunday needs to stay away until we get COVID results from one of the guys who was at the session. It was the risk we accepted when we chose to train, it’s just frustrating that I have to miss training. If he is positive I’ll need to have a test later in the week before I can go camping on the weekend. I’ve already been exposed so I’m assuming that it’s a low chance that I’ll catch it. I did however do my online yoga class to ensure I got exercise in and closed my Apple rings. I also moved my furniture around this morning so I can sleep in my new room (housemate’s old room). My old room still needs lots of sorting before it makes a good training space but I’m not stuck at home so I might as well get it done in the next few days. What a crazy year it has been!
Food choices good and all under budget.8 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes, raked millions of leaves for an hour. A strong storm last night blew most of my neighbor's leaves into my yard. I've yet to rake the back yard.

NSV: can I count not needing bumpers during bowling? I feel like my arms are getting stronger thusly, so is my bowling game. LOL. Also, loving the way my booty short pajamas fit. Was able to do a yoga pose with ease that I could not do earlier this year.
YYY for today Sad that my yoga studio may be going virtual b/c Ohioans are acting up with no masks and massive mass gatherings. Oh vey6 -

Favorite summer activity is likely why I am here - probably "eating". I am not a summer person. Fall is my favorite. I am not a bright sun, heat, humidity, or water person. So of course it made a lot of sense that hubby and I bought a place in the Florida Keys last year. I think I'm going to need to find a better favorite summer "activity". :P

** on another note, all these "eat the frog" comments made me look up the meaning. I remember being thoroughly confused yesterday when reading @MaltedTea post with the frog emoji. Is this another sign I am getting old?

@SModa61 Unless the meaning has changed along the line, "eating the frog" is a term for time management. You commit to doing your most important and most difficult task first. For me, that's my workouts lol
It is mostly used in a business context. Example here in Brian Tracy's article which covers procrastination and such.

@maltedtea The article was great and a concept I have never encountered but sounds like something I could embrace more. Thanks for sharing AND giving me a new phrase. :P5 -

Exercise? Yes
In budget? Likely
Tracking? No
Tracking while in hospital is hard, so that will just be a best effort.
Thank you for all the well wishes, they are gratefully appreciated.
I walk the hallways for about 30 mins day to get my daily exercise in. I also do bodyweight exercises where possible.
The hospital is a private hospital specializing in mental health. I am in hospital to do a 4 week intensive therapy to help with alleviating the worst symptoms of my depression.
Today was the first day of therapy and I can see already how it is going to help. For those who know psychology, it is effectively a 4 week intensive DBT course. It is mentally draining and at times confronting, but it will be worth it.
I will keep in touch with my UAC support family throughout. This forum is one of the things that keeps me going. Thank you.13 -
Hey @craigo3154 Good to hear that you can still connect with us from hospital. You sound really positive about this process and knowing some things that help you already is a big step forward.
Thanks for the messages. I’m stocked up for now and at home isolating while I wait for my friend’s result. My parents who live on the same property weren’t exposed as we keep a reasonable distance while our city is going through an increase in numbers anyway so they are safe and free to go shopping if needed! I’m going for a run later as that doesn’t expose anyone and will spend the time finishing the big sort out at home and catching up on some things I’ve been procrastinating. I’m healthy and assume I’ll stay that way until I get evidence to prove me wrong (either a positive test or feel sick) but will take reasonable precautions to not infect anyone just in case I’m wrong. I believe that mindset can help with things like this and don’t worry about something that might not happen. There are positives about staying at home by myself for a few days (especially when the weather is miserable).5 -
A pass day for me, my third this month. I have no excuse, just kind of feeling diet/exercise fatigued. I ate within my calorie limit, but did nothing I can call exercise.8
-
@ForLangston I am sure that not needing bumpers-while-bowling qualifies as an NSV because as you said, your arms are stronger. Well done and good for you!4

Somehow I managed to end the day with a 150cal deficit, but I also worked out hard, in spite of being so tired (had a bad night). I biked for like 2 hrs yesterday and did a 30 min workout mixing cardio and lifting.
NSV
1. is scale related (may I?): scale's up, because a switch of diet had me eating more carbs. I feel puffy, but am staying strong, knowing that it will eventually stabilize and water will eventually get flushed out.
2. I used to find running boring. Now I set goals and try to be better each time. I take it as an opportunity to pray, too, so I dont even need music anymore.
3. If I werent paying attention to an active lifestyle, we'd probably spend weekends watching the kids play outside. But I get involved: hiking or biking together and even playing footbal with them, if I have to! 😀
Hard for me to pinpoint the NSV, since this has been my lifestyle all my adult life. Except for the weekends, I am out more since having the kids.5
