Just happy the scales didn’t go up. Didn’t exercise enough to stay under goal every day and it’s my TOM, so I definitely have some bloating masking weight loss.
But... thanksgiving next week.... hopefully I can avoid being a complete pig this thanksgiving.4 -

@cre804 not sure if you’re seriously asking but a favorite “fancy” dish in my family is vegan beef Wellington. If you google you’ll find lots of recipes. Here’s one https://www.deliciouseveryday.com/mushroom-wellington/
It’s not super quick but it’s quite easy and delicious.
That looks delicious! I already have a tofurkey and a turkey but I may try this for Christmas. The kids are coming home this weekend and working remotely so I have more than just the holiday meal to prepare. That’s why I’m looking for easy recipes right now. But I’m definitely saving this recipe!

Hi everyone. I was in contact with a COVID-19 case last week and have been in isolation all week -and I don’t have a scale at home-hence carrying over my weight. Was swabbed last evening but I don’t have any symptoms so I should be good to go soon -but of course it’s my birthday tomorrow. I’m not one to celebrate anyway, but we orders a 4 person thanksgiving meal from a restaurant in town so I will be celebrating with all of you from Canada.2 -
Sorry I meant to correct that weight as my post got lost and I had to retype

I did not weigh today. I was 168.2 yesterday. This is up 2 lbs from last week. This is what I will be recording.
I drove home last night and had zaxby’s at 11 pm... and I had it again this am. I did a little stress eating and I’m not proud.
It’s done, now we move on... right?7 -
Way ahead of you @Beka36952

So... yeah. This weight loss is probably the only somewhat decent thing to happen, 6,8lbs in the last two weeks. It's likely going to come back with some vengeance when I start sleeping, eating or moving my body again. Last night was the first in almost two weeks that I slept somewhat through the night without waking up after 4 hours. Yesterday was Sunday and I took a walk on my own, it was the first intentional exercise in at least two weeks and the third time the entire week (Mon-Sun) that I left my apartment. I haven't been able to eat normally (which, ironically, might be a good thing considering eating is what got me to 200+ pounds to begin with).
Instead of doing anything remotely healthy physically, I've been going through some pretty dark corners of my mental health and clearing the air with my boss. It's not easy (in fact, it's f---ing difficult, probably for both of us) and probably could have been avoided for the most part if the basics were fixed when the issues first started developing.
If I remember correctly, I made some lofty weight loss goals a while ago. Be careful what you wish for, people. The world just might figure out a way of giving it to you in a very f----d up way. Well, if the work stuff gets fixed (I still have faith that it will) and the weight loss sticks, I might come out of this as a winner.3 -

I’m so sorry I’m so late I had a whirlwind end to the week with work and then an even crazier weekend so everything has just been off this week which is probably why when I weighed this morning I had gained 2 lbs. Hoping to prioritise some calm this week and get back on track!3 -

HI TEAM!!!
I am back in Florida and trying to get my head out of my @$$. I ate everything this weekend.
EVERYTHING
Here is the DAMAGE:
As I posted above about the Zaxby's on Friday night... There were leftovers and I snacked on them all weekend. DH and I picked up a pizza Saturday and I ate my fair share. Family drama happened Sunday morning as I was getting ready to start my drive back. I stopped by Taco Bell and bought a dozen Cinnabon Delights. A DOZEN!!! I ate them all before I reached the next town on my drive. YEP! This happened. THEN several hours into my drive I stopped by Burger King for a Whopper Jr and Jalapeno cheddar bites.... THEN I arrived at my daughters and found leftover blueberry pancakes in the fridge. I ate them with my bare hands like a raccoon in the garbage... I then ate chocolate chips and a chocolate/PB snack cake from the pantry and finished the day with 2 squares of a Lindt chocolate bar.
I stepped on the scales this am at 170.0. Considering the carb overload yesterday, I would not be surprised if it is not higher tomorrow. This is okay, and I will deal with it...
Here is where I am today:
The damage has been done. I cannot not eat the crap I ate. So I am moving on. I am not going to try to exercise my way out of this. I will do my normal 3-4 mile weekday walk and that is all. I feel like I need this to help burn off the crazy more than the calories.
I am prepping dinner for the family. We are having baked chicken, fresh green beans, and something starchy for my SIL that doesn't eat green food. So far today I have had only coffee. This is the norm as my first meal is usually about noon. If I find that I am getting hungry before noon, then I will make an egg. I am planning a buffalo chicken wrap for lunch.
Currently, there are so many things out of my control. I am focusing on managing those that are IN my control, like what I put in my mouth. I am focusing on what I can influence. Lastly, I am focusing on how I react and respond to those things outside of my control.
What I hope you take away from this is - EVERYBODY HAS A BAD DAY/WEEKEND/WEEK. Personal growth is where you stop and say 'enough is enough' and get yourself back on track. Take responsibility for your actions. Be accountable for the things you do. All the things outside of your control - LET IT GO! That is not your baby.
Have a great day, My friends!!!!6 -

So, so true! Thank you for being so real and raw. I appreciate that so many people have the same struggles. What makes the long term goals happen is not the binge or slip ups...it's the consistency of getting back to work!3 -
@imgwendolyn2015 congrats on your loss this week and leading the pack! You are killing it!1

Hey y'all!
I've been on this weight loss journey for a little of a year now and wasn't in this group last holiday season. I was super anxious last year to just "get through" the season without wiping out any progress I had made. I make the normal huge spread for our immediate family every year.
I just wanted to drop in and remind us all that one day will NOT ruin progress. Enjoy your day. Give thanks. Celebrate in whatever manner you can this year. Get back on track. We may retain a few pounds of water weight for a couple of days but no real damage. It really is that easy
Have a wonderful week!5 -

Good Morning. I am back from my time off. The boyfriend did arrive Friday night and I have def been stress eating. I am not used to someone in my house 24/7... lets just leave it at that. I did get a small walk in yesterday after work. Today is both jobs, then it should be pretty relaxing until Saturday.1

This was a great week for me! I stayed on track with tracking everything and I made a personal goal on Saturday to start eating veggies with every meal. Breakfast has been the most challenging but actually kind of fun to figure out. Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone, and as stated above - don't let the holiday stress you out. Enjoy it and then move on! One day will not erase all of the awesome progress you have made.4 -

This week I had to take a break from the weight loss pressure I was putting in myself (I was feeling quite overwhelmed), and just kind of ‘be’. I’m happy with -0.8 after a more or less chill this week. Have a great weekend everyone! For those of you living in the states, happy Thanksgiving!!4
