Amazing guys such an achievement to get this far esp in the month of December!!!5 -
A good day despite having lunch out. I stayed in a reasonable calorie range by skipping breakfast and having yogurt for supper. I did however do Jiu Jitsu with the boys (which meant there was lots of being squished involved). I also got some errands done and apart from over an hour in one queue it wasn’t that busy so tomorrow I can use my Christmas present. I’ll post a photo tomorrow 😜😜😜5

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yep, walked about 2.7 miles today with my SO and did some abs/squats/pushups.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yep, no restaurant food or gluten makes that relatively easy.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep4 -
Dec 28:
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes a nice long run today in the foggy am
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes on a small cut so will be glad when the month is over missing the nrg
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
and no one gets away without a photo of Bandit. It was SO warm yesterday that I took a chance and let him out for the first time in 2 weeks. Usually he takes off like from a starting gate - goes to his roll spot - rolls and then acts like a mad man for 5 minutes. To avoid that I hand walked him to his roll spot first. You can see I put a polo back on that hind leg because he still has swelling at the top which continues to drift down and his fetlock was pretty puffy when I got there yesterday. He won't get unsupervised outings again until cleared by the vet who takes Xrays again on Wed... hoping all is still well.

Exercise: yes, walked about half an hour, including all over the huge parking lot at the grocery store because I forgot where I parked
Calories: yes, under budget
Tracked: yes
I bit the bullet and went and got another COVID-19 test today because a cluster of people have it at work. I feel fine. This is mostly for peace of mind, although they say about 40 percent of people have no symptoms. So right now I'm confined to my property until I get the results -- which hopefully will come in under 24 hours like the last time.5 -

⭐️ EXERCISE: Yes.
⭐️ CALORIES: Yes.
⭐️ TRACK: Yes.
PASS: 2/3 (used Dec 20 and Dec 25)
I had to go in town to the bank and post office, so I went early (after my early morning coffee and keto banana bread), and I parked the car at the chiropractor's office (where I work part time). Then I walked from there to the bank and post office (next to each other) and then walked back to the car. 10k steps by 9:30am....
Then, at noon I did a 5,000 step workout video on YouTube.
@SummerSkier Terrific picture of Bandit!5 -
3x’s I did really well on calories and came in well under. Another 5 mile walk listening to podcasts.5

The only thing I can think of is that altho this is a new virus perhaps some folks who have recently had some type of flu have built up some sort of immune response to this already. I really would love to see the research and see who figures out why some folks never show symptoms. I mean they have some large groups (like the Princess cruise ship) from which to pull data. Or maybe it has to do with the amount of exposure you get. this whole thing is such a puzzle. Sending many vibes that your test is negative!!!!!
Thanks, I appreciate the good vibes. I should have said about 40 percent of all people who are tested and turn out to be positive have no symptoms. I put a longer reply on the group's What's on Your Mind Thread. Hopefully, the vaccine effort will really get underway soon.

I am truly impressed with how long the December winner's circle list will be. Congratulations to all of you in the home stretch. Don't drop your focus now. IMO this is the most challenging month of the year.4

Though I know weight numbers are not the primary focus for us here in the UAC, I want to share that for November (a fairly challenging calorie month) I managed to get rid of 7.2 pounds, and for the October Challenge another -5.0. I am now weighing slightly less than October 2019, which seems like a miracle. Target weight is in sight (129-130 – weight at my nephew’s May 2019 wedding) and doable in the next couple months. I am grateful for the results. Also notable for the November UAC, I entered and walk/ran a virtual 5K. I looked at the results and I came in 154/357 for total entries, 87/234 female, and 19/87 over 50 female. I would have been happy if I even came in last, because I entered. Being in the top 50% is super motivating even though I know this kind of race is not full of competitive runners.
So now for my December UAC. I am starting by raising my daily target calories by 50, and will be re-evaluating this every 10 days, as I want to start easing into my eventual maintenance calories. I don’t want to get go from lower calories to higher calories in a single day. I will be trying my best for the Winner’s circle, but need to be realistic and will at least commit to showing up daily and aiming to be a champion and aim to clean off 2 more pounds during December. Then, during my next 9 days in the Keys, I plan to walk/run to Sombrero Beach and even try to get you a sunrise photo (will take some planning ) and get back home. Google maps claims the distance is 3.3 miles each way. At for the rest of the month, my brain can only cope with planning til the 12th. Will regroup again once up north again.
BTW in November, I did not opt for eating back my “exercise” calories like I had planned. My problem with the method of eating back each day’s exercise calories is that that calorie number not compatible with advance planning and tracking, and I like to plan and pre-track my days. So this is the reason I am going try upping my planned daily calories instead and that way I can continue with the pre-tracking that works well for me.
