Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes. Today was 48 minutes of Cize, 20 minutes of HIIT, and 25 minutes of cleaning
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes. I am on point. I'm not over nor under. I find it easier for me to log my food the night before and stick to the food that is logged rather than winging it.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? I had coffee this morning and the rest of the day I am having water.
Life has it's ups and downs...we call them squats. 😂8 -

Good Monday everyone! Congratulations to everyone here.7 -
Morning run. Humidity was super high and wind was pumping so not my best but I still did it. Did my yoga challenge and a new core routine that I’m trying to turn into a habit. Then kids class and evening Jiu Jitsu! Technique was quite advanced and tricky which included inverting so it was tiring but I still rolled with one of the guys afterwards. Still grateful to be on the mat after so much time off.
Ate reasonably plus an ice cream which pushed me over my budget. Oh well, at least I’m logging again. (Way beyond the circle this month already).7 -

3x’s yes! I did an early morning 3.5 mile walk dropping off Christmas cards before the sun came up.
I took it easy today. Tomorrow I’m going to see how my body handles some bunny slope skiing. I have a season pass so if I feel any discomfort I can just go home without feeling like I lost out.5 -

Though I know weight numbers are not the primary focus for us here in the UAC, I want to share that for November (a fairly challenging calorie month) I managed to get rid of 7.2 pounds, and for the October Challenge another -5.0. I am now weighing slightly less than October 2019, which seems like a miracle. Target weight is in sight (129-130 – weight at my nephew’s May 2019 wedding) and doable in the next couple months. I am grateful for the results. Also notable for the November UAC, I entered and walk/ran a virtual 5K. I looked at the results and I came in 154/357 for total entries, 87/234 female, and 19/87 over 50 female. I would have been happy if I even came in last, because I entered. Being in the top 50% is super motivating even though I know this kind of race is not full of competitive runners.
So now for my December UAC. I am starting by raising my daily target calories by 50, and will be re-evaluating this every 10 days, as I want to start easing into my eventual maintenance calories. I don’t want to get go from lower calories to higher calories in a single day. I will be trying my best for the Winner’s circle, but need to be realistic and will at least commit to showing up daily and aiming to be a champion and aim to clean off 2 more pounds during December. Then, during my next 9 days in the Keys, I plan to walk/run to Sombrero Beach and even try to get you a sunrise photo (will take some planning ) and get back home. Google maps claims the distance is 3.3 miles each way. At for the rest of the month, my brain can only cope with planning til the 12th. Will regroup again once up north again.
BTW in November, I did not opt for eating back my “exercise” calories like I had planned. My problem with the method of eating back each day’s exercise calories is that that calorie number not compatible with advance planning and tracking, and I like to plan and pre-track my days. So this is the reason I am going try upping my planned daily calories instead and that way I can continue with the pre-tracking that works well for me.
Here we go!

*** MFP considers me under my calories for the day, but I am still currently not eating back exercise calories. So, Pass #1 used, but worth it – Oysters Rockefeller, and dinner of Seared scallops over Succotash with asparagus and a bacon ju. Lovely meal – no drinks or dessert. Ironic part is I was hungry by the time I got home. Speculating is that I will not make the winner’s circle this month, but still going to keep it in mind cause you never know.

*** got in exercise before showering and packing, and then, when we discovered the airport restaurant was not open due to lack of customers, my “healthy planned airport dinner” became a boar’s head snack pack from newsstand, plus two airline cheez-its and 100 cal pack of skinny pop. Macros were not great, but calories stayed under goal!!

Had to go into the office today, so for lunch I walked around the inside of the building for 45 mins. (3 floors, 3 buildings all connected with enclosed walkways, so it makes it nice for "laps" around the perimeter of each of the buildings, each floor). Came home and walked another 20 mins on the treadmill just to get to my 13k steps for today. I tried to do some yoga, but it's so hard on my knees. I didn't sleep very well last night, so I'm tired and cranky, and eventually gave up. Enough for today. Early bedtime tonight too.4 -

Personal Bonus: Did I meet my protein macro for the day (min 40%)? YES | 40% (8 out of 15 days)
Pass Days used: (DEC11)(DEC14)
When I saw that my pre logging got me my exact macros for my exact base calories, I figured passing on exercise today was a viable option.
And while I had no target per se, I'm happy that I was able to meet my high protein macro slightly more than half of the time since the start of the month.
Also, time saved on exercise allowed me to do a bit of evidence-based research on leptin resistance as I suspect this is at least partially to blame for my wonky eating and exercising loop in the past 2-3 weeks. I refuse to let an overly reactive endocrine system win if all I need to do is better manage my sleep and inflammation 🤓3 -

YES, YES, AND YES.
If you were to open my exercise diary, you'd see that I logged 1 minute of Jumping for Joy! That's because I weighed in for the first time since beginning this group and I've lost 4 lbs.! I think that I've found my mojo again after a long absence.
I can thank this group for my recent success. All I needed was to be held accountable for what I eat and how much I move. (I thought that it would take a stick of dynamite to get me moving again.) Since I don't like lying to anyone other than myself, I've stuck to logging everyting that goes in my pie hole, so to speak.
Another reason for my success is the fact that anyone, regardless of age or physical abilities, can join. Since I "ain't a Spring chicken" and can't walk very well YET, that's a big plus for me.
So thank you @RangerRickL for creating this group.
