November ended with some lovely evening moon pics. I got out early this morning for a walk/run (finally) and look what I saw! Sharing with you a morning moon to start off December.
Hoping to at some other point get you both a sunrise and sunset (perks of the keys - you have the east and the west)

I just want to congratulate the winner's circles and champions, and welcome the new group members. December can be a challenging month and I commend those new members for joining this month when many would say "I'll do it next"! Thank you @RangerRickL for organizing this group and offering us all motivation. Here's to finishing December and 2020 with a bang!14

I am planning to start each work-day in December with a psychological "win" before I even have my morning coffee .... for now, that is to immediately follow my daily weigh-in on my wii (been keeping a record for 1310 days now) with a 7 minute balance&flexibility Standing Pilates routine from The Girl with the Pilates Mat youtube channel.
Did it yesterday and again today.
I an saying "for now" because once my balance and flexibility for these moves reach a certain point, I will probably look for a second 5 to 10 minute something that works something else, and alternate.15 -
Happy December 1st!
Congratulations to all those who made the Winner’s Circle and to all the Champions!8 -
Congrats to the winners and champions.
Pass day for me. I woke feeling much better than yesterday but as the evening drew my fever returned which means it’s unlikely to be the heat exhaustion we suspected yesterday and I’m off for a COVID test tomorrow.
It’s good to get to spend time in bed though as my old Labrador has pulled his shoulder again and needs to be encouraged to rest it. Cuddling with me is about all that keeps him still. He doesn’t understand that 11 years old is not a puppy anymore and jumping to look over the wall is a bad idea.

Exercised: today was Crazy 8's (cize for 30 minutes)
Calories: I was right at 0. When I logged everything in. I wasn't over and I wasn't under.
Tracked: I tracked every single thing today.
I stepped on the scale this morning and I am down 3.4lbs from last week. 😊
Congratulations to the winners circle and champions! You all did fantastic!11 -

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes - happy to say I have increased my budget by 100 this month
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
@RangerRickL Curious what the numbers are for the Winner's circle and Champions each month and who has been in each most consistently for 2020...
Congrats to all. I think staying in the race when you have already had to use up your 3 pass days is almost harder than being in the winners circle. Hope that Craig is doing ok. Dory you BETTER not have the virus.
Smoda, yes watching the moon on my runs this morning has been amazing. Also watch is rise last night big and yellow on my drive home from the barn..

Calories?: Yes stayed under with my workout calories.
Tracked?: Yes everything10 -
Meant to add a bit more context but looks like I can't edit.
Exercise today was day 2 of my youtube routine that I'm trying for the first time. We also started the day off with a 3 mile cliff walk along the coast here in the algarve. Absolutely brilliant day for it.
The added calories from exercise (assuming 2 lb loss per week) were used only slightly. We had a wonderful sole dinner at home on the bbq. Absolutely excellent fish and basically no bones!
I tracked it all and was quite generous so probably overstated some stuff. Glad to see it was a great start to the month for most of you. Fingers crossed on a negative covid test!10 -

Though I know weight numbers are not the primary focus for us here in the UAC, I want to share that for November (a fairly challenging calorie month) I managed to get rid of 7.2 pounds, and for the October Challenge another -5.0. I am now weighing slightly less than October 2019, which seems like a miracle. Target weight is in sight (129-130 – weight at my nephew’s May 2019 wedding) and doable in the next couple months. I am grateful for the results. Also notable for the November UAC, I entered and walk/ran a virtual 5K. I looked at the results and I came in 154/357 for total entries, 87/234 female, and 19/87 over 50 female. I would have been happy if I even came in last, because I entered. Being in the top 50% is super motivating even though I know this kind of race is not full of competitive runners.
So now for my December UAC. I am starting by raising my daily target calories by 50, and will be re-evaluating this every 10 days, as I want to start easing into my eventual maintenance calories. I don’t want to get go from lower calories to higher calories in a single day. I will be trying my best for the Winner’s circle, but need to be realistic and will at least commit to showing up daily and aiming to be a champion and aim to clean off 2 more pounds during December. Then, during my next 9 days in the Keys, I plan to walk/run to Sombrero Beach and even try to get you a sunrise photo (will take some planning ) and get back home. Google maps claims the distance is 3.3 miles each way. At for the rest of the month, my brain can only cope with planning til the 12th. Will regroup again once up north again.
BTW in November, I did not opt for eating back my “exercise” calories like I had planned. My problem with the method of eating back each day’s exercise calories is that that calorie number not compatible with advance planning and tracking, and I like to plan and pre-track my days. So this is the reason I am going try upping my planned daily calories instead, and that way I can continue with the pre-tracking that works well for me.
Here we go! and I promise to keep my next post shorter!!!

@Dory_42 Oh Dory, I sure hope you don't have COVID! Sending up prayers for you my friend! And what a cute pic of your pup! I hope he gets to feeling better soon as well.

When a northeaster blocks your outside walk, you turn to indoor weightlifting Cooked that bison meal and it was yum and tracked. So happy that in Nov, during the heavy cream-delish, fried food and Mac and cheeses for Turkey day, I still made it to the Winners' Circle. So happy that we all stayed the course last month. Toast to December!9
