CBC Radio (it's Canadian public radio) has a comedy show called Laugh Out Loud.
You'll laugh out loud at the first skit here - it's about a guy who goes to Spin class with his professional-volleyball-player girlfriend. LOL (thus the name of the show).

Ummm @minstrelofsarcasm @1theresamcvean evidently I can’t subtract! 😂. 4.4 not 4.8 lost this week. Can’t wait to start this 8th grade algebra homework later! 🤦♀️😭3

I went to the dr yesterday and she said she usually likes to wait for people to be 3 months from surgery before she let's them start exercising but she will let me back in zumba if I modify. I was very excited. Tomorrow is zumba day, not sure if it will happen because we are having a snow storm but we will see. I am also going to look into getting the peloton ap and using it on my treadmill for now until I get a bike.2

Hi, y’all. I’ve been away for about three months now. Lots of personal stuff going on with my teenage daughter. It’s been really tough. She starts counseling Monday. I hope it helps.
I’ve gained back half my weight. I’d lost only about 12 so it’s not as bad as it could have been. But I’m not in Wonderland anymore Back to it!
For any of y’all that at have joined the group in the past few months, please send me a friend request.4 -
I mean Onederland!
FYI: I’ve got a trick for cutting down on snacking and drinking bad things throughout the day. Get Invisalign. LOL. My daughter and I got ours Thursday. You have to keep them in 22 hours a day, drink nothing but water when they’re in, and it’s kind of a pain to take them out to eat and then have to brush before you put them back in. I’m hoping this will help me get back to Onederland more quickly.3 -

Weigh in Week 2
Weigh day: Sunday
PW: 246 (111.6 kg)
CW: 246 (111.6 kg)
LTD: 30 lbs (13.6 kg)
I will take that, I know I wasn't on track for quite a few days this week and I posted that my weight jumped up 1.4kg, it finally came back down yesterday and stayed there today. At this point in this very very slooooooow year of weight loss, I really do want to acknowledge my highest (non-pregnant) weight of 149.2 kg / 328.9 lbs, and if I'm going down that road my highest pregnant weight was 12 years and 2 weeks ago at term with my twins- 159 kg / 350.5 lbs. Even after having the twins I was still over 150 kg for a while, but I don't take that as an official weight. I just know I was there between late 2008 and early 2011. I know I weighed myself once on a hospital scale when my older son was there for asthma and I was 154kg.
Anyway, I tend to write off how much weight I have lost in total because that was 'before' and because I gained over half of it back (it freaking sucks to have to lose so much twice). I now take my starting weight from where I was in February 2020, after "the gain". A few people have reminded me recently just how far I have come, albeit over 9 years, but there is truth in weight loss (and maintenance) being a marathon not a sprint, at least for the formerly morbidly obese.
Now on to other things - my husband an I, who have both been incredibly dense about this given our Personal Training qualifications - think we have figured out what my ongoing pain is caused by. Keep in mind I have seen probably 30 specialists at this point and been dismissed by two public health systems (Auckland and Melbourne) as 'undiagnosable' and given the vague label of 'chronic pain' along with migraines. So, hubby and I stumbled across Myofascial Pain Syndrome, which is actually hard to diagnose, but I tick every single box for it. Now, I know that my fascia is tight and some of my muscles are like concrete, but I didn't realise that there was a name for it, or that it refers out pain to other areas of the body. And that every tight muscle with typical referred pain is exactly what I get. It also makes so much sense because all of this pain started about 6 or 7 years ago when I was at my most active - exercising 4 hours per day, running, lifting, cycling, you name it. So now I'm going to focus much more on myofascial release and hopefully make a big difference!4 -

Kristy, I'm really glad you two figured out what's causing your ongoing pain. That's a big breakthrough. When you celebrate your total weight loss, it's a best practice in the F2F world to mark it from your highest weight period. If you're okay with that, I think it's a great way to look at your accomplishment. Overcoming setbacks no matter how daunting is more admirable than almost anything I can think of.1 -

@1theresamcvean Okay, with total loss, my LTD is 42.5kg / 93.6 lbs. I decided to take that from my highest non-pregnant weight, which is actually a little higher than what I used to use as "start weight". Because bugger it, the F2F way is right - that is all weight that I have lost. Puts this year into perspective. Thanks also to @minstrelofsarcasm who got me thinking about total amount of weight lost yesterday. 🌷♥️

I did not have a good day yesterday. I ate what I wanted with no way to track calories. I overate. I was tired and stressed. And I finished off the day with a bag of chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate milk. I have no idea what I ate. I also have no idea how many steps I got as I forgot my Fitbit. I was on my feet most of the day so I just added in an estimate of steps. It wasn’t a great fundraiser and I was disappointed with the turn out. So much work and it really didn’t do well! Disappointing for everyone. But today is a new day and back to watching my food and getting my steps.7

We ended up getting our Christmas trees yesterday. I hope I don't kill them before Christmas
I have been experimenting with IF. We weren't planning on getting the trees until early afternoon. I didn't eat yet and wanted to workout, shower and get some stuff done before we left. I wasn't hungry so I decided to see how long I could go. I ended up fasting for almost 23 hours. If we weren't eating out, I could have gone 24 hours. I am still learning a lot and don't know when I will do this again. It was more of a learning experience. I was curious how long I would go and the conditions were all right. I also could eat whenever I wanted to, nothing was set in stone. I felt fine the entire time. I still can't believe that I really am not hungry all the time like I thought. Today I am back to my normal 14 hour fasting which has ended up being 18 most days this week. I just get busy or try to finish something up and before I know it time has past. I am really learning a lot about myself.
Today I will be planning and food prepping for the week. Happy Sunday everyone!
@1theresamcvean I love all your tips and none of them are difficult to do or anything that would make someone feel deprived. I am going to start doing some of those!
@kandi3570 Nice loss! You will be kissing the 190s goodbye soon!
@kirsten11872 Hello 150s! Great job!
@ljdanny I am happy you were cleared for zumba! Be careful though. I am jealous that you are getting snow!! I also didn't know you could get just the pelaton app without buying the bike. That is pretty cool!
@KristieJC I am glad you are back! We missed you!! I had invisalines a few years back and that is so true-not worth the effort to take them off. Lol! I hope things go well with your daughter, I am glad that she is getting counseling. The world is much different than when we grew up (or at least I grew up ) Sending hugs!
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx Wow! Is there a treatment for Myofascial Pain Syndrome? Or is managed with myofascial release? I really hope you found an answer. Now back to what you were talking about before that...Don't forget to give yourself some credit for all that you have learned over the past few years. I think what you have learned may be just as important, if not more important, than the weight you have lost. As the saying goes "you have come a long way baby!" Losing weight is a struggle even in the best circumstances and you are doing it juggling the pain,migraines, a full time job, 4 children and running a home. You are doing an amazing job. No the weight isn't flying off but the scale is moving in the right direction. Sending a big hug! Love your post with the pics too-you are amazing! xo
@1theresamcvean Nice loss this week!
@KUMEcyclingteam Wtg! Nice loss!
@annliz23 Nice loss!
@hope002 hope all is going well
@kandi3570 Those days happen to all of us. You have a great attitude-put that behind you and move on. Sorry about the fundraiser3 -
The Green Challenge Percentage of people who lost weight this week. No matter how small the loss the weights are recorded in green. Remember that even if your team doesn’t rank the highest in weight loss for the week you can still be the Green Percentage winner by having the most losses in your team! So keep it up!!0

I started having an issue with my back/hip on Wednesday afternoon. I'm pretty sure it's from the knee issues, which cause me to limp sometimes. I had to be careful at my training session on Thursday.
Friday I had a physical therapy session. The PT asked me how I was doing so I told him about the back/hip so he gave me a treatment for that too, which helped for a while. I asked him if he had decided what he is going to tell my doctor (I only have 2 sessions left). He said he wasn't quite sure yet but if he had to say something that day he would have said that although it is slow there is progress and that we could wrap up therapy in the office. I also asked if I could start doing more at the gym. He told me I could do things with lower weights and higher reps to start and work up from there. I was pretty happy about both of those answers.
I spent this morning doing some meal prep for the week. I made overnight oats, chicken and vegetables, energy bites and peanut butter breakfast cookies. Now I have breakfast, dinner and snacks and for lunches at work I"ll bring what I normally bring, which is either a protein bar or a granola bar. I really should do this every week. I know I would eat better if I did it.5 -
@tryingagain5, you must share your PB breakfast cookie recipe. And what is in your energy bites?0

Linda,
I can't help thinking about this song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2USbSWZnok
Here's your version
"The knee bone connected to the hip bone
The hip bone connected to the back bone
Oh, hear the word of the Lord
Them bones, them bones, gonna walk around
Them bones, them bones, gonna walk around"
I'm glad you're on the mend and great job with the meal prep.
Your MFP name is perfect by the way, @tryingagain5 So many people have trouble trying again in the face of injuries and setbacks but not you. We have a lot of teammates who pick themselves up and brush themselves off to great success. I find this so inspiring.

I posted this yesterday but forgot to tag the Spinners or cyclists in the group.
@minstrelofsarcasm @xX_PhoenixRising_Xx @sleepymom5 @ljdanny @KUMEcyclingteam @KristieJC this is for you. Everyone else, it's especially funny if you've tried even one spin class or tried to cycle up a steep hill outside.
