Of the 127 members of the January challenge I have been able to identify 10 as definitely male, either from their name or their picture, or because I know them from a previous month ... Let's say there are 10 more ... @RangerRickL, what do you think? There must be as many guys struggling with weight and health issues as women ...2 -

@Chinkiri Could it be that women gravitate towards the group/community aspect more than men when it comes to weight loss, which is a common goal on MFP?
About your post from yesterday, I also like the time differences, but we are actually in the same time zone!
I post after dinner, which is usually early even by German standards (some stereotypes cannot be denied hehe).

Morning run was good. Hit a good rhythm and didn’t even need to think about it. Got to contemplate stuff instead (which is one of my favourite aspects of running). Also did yoga and abs. Excited for a new yoga video focusing on getting crow pose right. Will see if I can get to it tomorrow. And of course evening Jiu Jitsu.
Sushi for lunch with mom and not on track with logging again yet. For now I’m focusing on getting other routines back. Tomorrow I will add being aware of my food and making good choices.
It’s crazy how one week off throws all my routines out and I need to consciously get them going again.5 -

today was a "rest" day. I did not feel energetic altho not specifically sore. But mostly I did not sleep enough last night. I was kicking myself because I only ran 4 miles... Then I realized that perspective is everything. 3 yrs ago the first time I ran 4 miles I was over the moon because I never thought my knees would allow me to do any sort of run distance again.

I had 3 online meetings this morning – nearly 4 hours in total – so glad I don’t have to do that too often. I’m on the board of a charity and we meet once a month. Other than that, I’m retired so it’s not a frequent occurrence thank goodness.
So that was my morning gone and it was wet and windy in the afternoon so I didn’t get my bike ride in.

A good enough day. Back to work after my long weekend. Too many meetings and my calendar is crazy tomorrow too. Am already feeling guilty in advance about how much time I’m going to be able to give to home schooling, basically they are on their own really! I did manage to re-arrange some so that I have more than 15 minutes for lunch so I guess that is something, at least a little time to chat and eat together.
@SummerSkier that is a cool picture, we are growing an amaryllis in my daughters room - I love love love them, they grow so fast. One day she came home and it had fallen off the window sill, I think it grew too hard!4 -

I juuust about evened out the intake. Walked for 30 min with hubs and did my workout 💪. Thought I'd get sick during planks, but I made it!!! Not so keen on using the very last pass, tbh 😉.

Finally got a walk in at lunch today hard work as needed to navigate the drifted snow on the track at the fairgrounds but was nice to get out. Not sure about tomorrow as predicting ❄️. Tracked logged and stayed under. I plan to be in the winners circle again and am ready for February bring it on !!2

Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes I did. Even though I am struggling emotionally. I found out a couple of things on Sunday that I didn't post. I hope posting about these things will help me feel better, especially being in such a supportive group. First my friend passed from breast cancer on Friday, and another friend had cancer removed on his face. Second, two of my cousins are having surgeries. One is having surgery on their back, and the other cousin is having surgery on their brain due to an aneurism. Plus my fiancee is on the road and will not be home until March 10th, one week before we head out to our destination wedding. So I am trying my best not to turn to food, by keeping myself busy.9 -

Today I had a quick strength test for a 4 week program I'm doing. The instructor had us double the weight we'd used previously for a goblet squat for this squat test, but my right quad started hurting not in a good way so I stopped. I'm going to drop the weight and try again tomorrow. Annoyed though because I wanted to do my bike bootcamp workout today too.5 -

This morning I did 15 minutes of Pilates and 20 minutes on the rebounder. This afternoon I did 45 minutes of Dancing to the Oldies on the front porch. It was only 35(F) so I made sure I kept GROOVIN to fast tunes so I didn't get COLD! I had my ear buds in so if the neighbor saw me, they probably now think I'm CERTIFIED LOONEY! (Thankfully the neighbor is elderly and isn't really all that close!)
Then tonight I did 60, yes 60 MINUTES!! at 3.6mph on the treadmill (plus 5 min warm up walking) Total 150 minutes, total burn 987 calories!
