Yesterday, @GreyGirl915 posted an image that evokes Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. They were two outstanding dancers/actors of the 1930s. I know that @TerriRichardson112 loves to dance and maybe you do too!
Here is a short 2+ minute video of some amazing dancing from the film, Swing Time.

@donna25trinity I've enjoyed it quite a bit until now.
@SModa61 I hope you like it as well and there is no rush to finish it! I'm too tired for non-work-related reading today, so I will be continuing tomorrow only (your chance to catch up ^^ )6 -

I LOVED watching Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers growing up.
Hubby and I were doing West Coast Swing socially (we were some of the old folks ) prior to COVID. Son has been dancing it, and competing in it so we gave it a try (no we did not compete ever). Things I loved about it is that for a woman NO high heels, in fact you can't dance it correctly in higher heels, and it is danceable to the vast majority of music one might encounter socially. Great for showing up at a wedding and they are suddenly playing "24 Karat Magic" or the like, but does mean I bring some flats to the wedding as well.
Here is fairly conventional WCS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAR27FWzyZY
Much less conventional, but part of the beauty of WCS and how it gets applied to other songs
"Macarena", dancing begins at 1:35. The lead, Jordan Frisbee, is #1 lead ATM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIawVClaMgI
ARGH making me miss it!11 -
Back when AMC actually showed American Movie Classics, I spent a whole summer watching the movies of Fred, Ginger, Betty Grable and others. So Wonderful!
Today was a good day did my body fat % scan (Halo) which is down again and a small gain in lean muscle mass.
Exercise (Yoga 30, Pilates 15, Stretch 15 - wanted to ride but quads are super sore from weights yesterday).

Thanks for the dancing vids, not something I would normally search for so a refreshing change! Quite mesmerising, I’m not much of a dancer myself but I do love to watch.
Good day today, a day off work and probably too much time on my feet for the poor old knee but the weather was gorgeous, wall to wall blue skies so my walks were lovely.
Three yeses, even with the gingerbread I snacked on while helping the kids make and decorate it.5 -

@Ja_Kl, I so admire you for this! 🌺
Thanks, Rick and @SModa61 for the dance videos! I love to dance 💃, freestyle 🤦♀️. Hubs and I also went to 💃classes, right before the kids and we'd both love to do it again when they👼're grown up.
I had a bad day at work, but picked myself up in the afternoon, got off the chair and did my workout. I'm a new person since. Well, almost, can't 🧽off all my feelings. Someone tell me everything is going to be alright and I'll raise above.
Due to the workout, I'll see today as a good day, though I didn't log in my food until the afternoon 🤷♀️.
Love to all❣10 -

Exercise, yes. No bike ride but some cardio and a good walk
Tracking, yes, but lots of estimating
Calories, yes but see comments about estimates
I'm visiting my son for a couple of days. I just had to come in spite of the lockdown rules. Call it essential support. Hence the estimates for food. I've also allowed myself a generous calorie budget for these days. I've been under 48 kg for 3 weeks now and could do with gaining a little.
But I logged everything even the little chocolate treat.7 -

I have officially used all 3 passes. Today when I got half an hour to myself i was so exhausted that i chose to lie down instead of going for a walk. Not a good choice since my toddler followed me and jumped on me. Walking would have been more relaxing!5

@Mrs_Hoffer I'm so glad you enjoyed the picture, one of my favorites
@RangerRickL I loved the video and happy you picked up the theme in spades. And to think Ginger did all that in heels and Fred's not to shabby either. I always have some song in my head and like to dance so it keeps me in a positive state of mind. More people should dance for just 10 minutes a day and they'd be smiling when they're done. That video really made me laugh. Thank you.3 -

My calorie rule for January UACDefining, for myself more than anything, what is the definition of my daily calorie goal. For Oct and Nov, I used 1430 and not eating back exercise. December, I raised that to 1480 with no additional calories for exercise. For January, I am going to try a blended rule; either Food calories under 1480, or Net calories (ie Food minus exercise) under 1200. So, if my exercise burns less than 280 on a given day, there is no added calories. BUT, if I exercise more, I have the option additional food OR if I overeat, I have the option of exercising more to not use a pass day. This flexibility was not something I allowed in my previous rounds. Once I exceeded my goal calories, regardless of my exercise burn. Also, I am defining that I am using the MFP estimate for the caloric burn from exercise. I know I could get different numbers elsewhere, but I am going to use only the one source – good or bad.Date: 1/1

Exercise: Yes, 1 mile walk 3 mile run. Then 8 min on the rower because I made my kid apple bread and had a piece and I didn’t want to use a pass day for the 32 calories I was over so I used the rower until I wasn’t over anymore.

Yes, and yes, but no exercise. I am feeling good enough to restart exercising, maybe tomorrow. Still eating well and logging when the MFP app will let me. It has been better the last few days.5
-
I only tracked the following morning but was over as expected. So pass day 3.
It was a really good day though. I took the day off work after my emotional week and went hiking with friends. Great company (which included about 4 hours in the car), beautiful scenery, amazing pools to swim in and no cellphone signal. When we got back to signal I had multiple notifications and found out I had won an amazing bean to cup coffee machine (Jura Ena 8). I’m a coffee snob and have been wanting a bean to cup machine for years but could never justify the expense for one that is about a third of the price of this one, so epically excited for its arrival! I also played around with some strength aspects in the hike and was pleased to discover I can easily hold myself up on a wall (didn’t try climb it, just held on at the bottom) and did pull ups on a branch from one of the pools. Ended the day with a dinner date.
Photo is me doing pull-ups while me friend swims.
