Starting from scratch, after 288 gratitude threads on Noom, we begin again.
I started this gratitude list as a way to shift focus away from negativity, and have found that participating in a group that values a thankful mindset has really made a difference in my life!
Today I am thankful for
1) Friends - we are traveling about an hour and a half to see friends that we haven’t seen since this summer. Instead of going to Hershey Park as a big group of several families, we went to these friends’ house in Maine. We get to see them again today, which I am super thankful for. 2020 has felt so isolating, so any time with friends is so rare and much coveted time!!
2) Cooking with my sister, brother-in-law, and husband! We have made some pretty incredible meals over the past few days. They haven’t all been super healthy, but I’m confident that after the holidays, I’ll have no problem getting back on the horse!
3) My beautiful cocker spaniel, Paddington. I’m grateful for every remaining minute I have with him. His appetite has been a little slower lately, and I’m afraid that he’s finally getting to the point where he is feeling sick. I’m choosing instead to focus on every precious moment I have left with him.

Whoohoo...here we are!
I am grateful:
1. One year ago I explored the idea of starting Noom after a colleague of mine had lost 70 lbs (unfortunately, she has gained it all back!). I decided to take the plunge, and am so grateful I did!
2. In the past year I have lost 35 lbs, learned some lifelong lessons, and gained friendships.
3. Grateful to have another platform to continue my journey...with Noom friends.
4. Our rescue dog, Jake, needs to be put down today or tomorrow. He had a stroke on Christmas eve and has just been laying on his bed since then because out vet clinic has been closed. We've been praying he would just 'go' on his own, but that hasn't happened. Now is breathing is belabored. Stay tuned...

Oh, Diane!!! I didn’t see the news about Jake until I went back and saw your post from Christmas Eve, which was about 20 minutes ago. I am so, so sorry. I hope he isn’t in any pain. Poor thing!! Lots of love and light heading his way...and yours! ❤️💛💙💚💜0
