We meet here to explore, share, celebrate and (sometimes) agonize over how we do (or don't) incorporate weight loss guidelines into our daily lives. "It's a lifestyle, not a diet" is easily and often said, but sometimes not so simply put into practice.
This is a thread for everyone. If you're new to GoaD, or to weight loss, your questions and comments are always welcome. If you're maintaining, or a long-term loser, your thoughts on the topic may be just what someone else needs to hear. If you're reading this, join in the discussion!
Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion.
Monday - crewahl (Charlie)
Tuesday - whathapnd (Emmie)
Wednesday - Al_Howard (Al)
Thursday - misterhub (Greg)
Friday - imastar2. (Derrick)
TODAY’S TOPIC: Interruptions in your routine
I'm not sure I can ever remember the amount of Interruptions in my daily routine as I have in the past year. Is your ability to handle Interruptions with your routine proceeding to your liking? and maybe share a tip or two?

I will not fudge a bit on this subject. Between COVID-19 personal and working around all the necessary planning it takes the daily routine has all but own out the window. That being said DW and I are working diligently to keep some sort of routine going. In fact I'm now looking forward to getting into a couple of decent routines exercise being high on the list and concentrating on meal routines as well. I'll concentrate on it one day at a time and one item at a time. I think it will help.0

From March to early June I ate and sat. When that wasn't giving me the results I desired, I established new daily routines that included light exercise and tracking food. That, not surprisingly, did yield the desired results. Over the months I've added more moving, reps, and weights. And I've been a bit shocked by how much I like it. How would have thought 🤷1

I am more routine-dependent and less change-tolerant than I would like.
The morning pills have to be in the right spot on the counter or I’ll forget to take them.
If I don’t charge my watch at 7:30 PM, it won’t happen until I go to bed.
When my “Wednesday” to go place was unexpectedly closed, it took me five minutes to decide what to do instead.
So routines are important for me, and I’m not sure how I got to that point.1
