Hurrah! It's the 15th and it's time to get our eyes off our scales and celebrate Non-Scale-Victories.
What is going right for you? It can be something as simple as "I am not craving as much junk food."

This is what I am celebrating! I have asthma and cold air triggers my asthma reactions. I waited until February 1 to begin my early morning hikes. I gauge my progress by how far and how high I can go in 30 minutes from the condo.
My cardio-vascular fitness has markedly improved in just the last two weeks.20 -

Forgot to track an afternoon snack...
My NSV is a better posture.
Not sure why it took me so long to realise that the key was to train my back muscles rather than to try to remember (and inevitably forget) to stand/sit up straight!
The workout videos that have helped me with this are the daily pilates playlists by Cassey Ho and the weekly iyengar yoga classes by Cat de Rham:
1) Pilates: https://m.youtube.com/user/blogilates/playlists
2) Yoga: https://www.youtube.com/embed/videoseries?list=PLWuSzyojqpNHV5kCwWkX0RWBvGgXNnF5G9 -
A good day for me even though I didn’t track my food. Morning yoga and rehab, work, coaching kids and attending Jiu Jitsu classes. Ate well and even without tracking I know it was a reasonable day.
Also worked on the aspect that I’m using for my nsv. I started sessions with a psychologist last week and although my main reason for going was to find a way to get over a mental block I have at training, in or two sessions so far, we have already delved deeper than that. Excited about how this will help me in various areas of my life, including training.11 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 1 h 16 min of walking, 1h 14 min of muscle training.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, 1,160/1200.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes, 2,100 of fluid.
My NSV after these two weeks: keeping up with exercising daily, this is the longest for me. As for the past five month: sleeping at the same time every night. This is something I never was able to do as far as I remember, even when I was a child.7 -
Forgot to mention
Pass days: 1/3
I would have ignored it if it was zero. Sorry about the extra post.3 -

Exercise:Yes, doubled on previous days' walking. Went to see a friend, stayed briefly, masked, distanced, for a coffee, made spirits soar!
Calories: Yes, stayed under. Disappointing Thai fish curry recipe, but still nice.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.
Spirited discussion in Zoom Book Club this afternoon. Nice, helps to keep my brain working

I’m visiting my son and family for a few days – to help with childcare over half term but also to support my daughter-in-law. She has a real hard time looking after them all. My son is now experiencing more mental issues – forgetfulness and general brain fog – in addition to the physical problems. It is so sad and so difficult.

Did terrible with drinking seltzer today. Only 16oz for the entire day. I can make a dozen excuses, it’s something that I have been working on since the start of 2021.
@RangerRickL
Thank you for posting about non-scale victories. It’s important to keep everything in perspective. The scale does not tell the entire story.
Congratulations on how much progress you have made with your early morning walks. Very impressive 👏👏8 -

@oh_jackie thanks for sharing those videos! I do have trouble with my back muscles so I will definitely check those out!
For my NSV last week..... at 59 years old and 173 lbs, I'm excited to say that I've completed the c25k program and am officially a runner/jogger.. My goal is to continue building up my stamina and running time/speed and to actually run a 5k before my 60th birthday (in a little over 2 months).
I thought this was funny and couldn't resist sharing!

Today will be my third pass day. We're in the middle of a weather emergency in San Antonio, and after an overnight low of 9 degrees and 4 inches of snow--yes, four inches in South Texas!--we lost power completely for about 12 hours. I spent the whole day just trying to stay warm and figure out what we could eat that didn't require cooking.
A low of 5 is in the forecast for tonight with freezing rain on deck for Wednesday. It's going to be a rough week to stay on track if the next couple of days unfold like today. But, on the bright side, no frozen pipes so far (knock on wood)!11 -

1. I fit in a pair of Guess jeans this weekend that I bought in 2004 when I was 21 and kept in the delusional hope I’d fit in them again some day and now I do! They’re actually closer to too big than too small.
2. I can do full pushups now, so that’s a win. (Unless is a tricep pushup then nope - still on my knees for those.)
3. I’ve been staying on plan on the weekends, compliments of this challenge.
Hope everyone had a great day!12 -

My major NSV that always excites me is being able to run a half-marathon. I ran my 9th a few weeks ago virtually, and finally in-person racing is starting to come back here in Northern CA, so I just signed up for my 10th half-marathon end of March.13 -
