Dawn rising in the east side of Stony Mountains in Phoenix.
My morning hike was at 44 degrees F, or 6.7 degrees C.13 -
On my hike down the mountain, this Ocotillo was leafed out and getting ready to blossom. 2 weeks ago, There was a 1.2 inch rain that awakened the desert.11 -
For anyone worried about their size, I am not your role model. I’m happy to be fit for the life that I lead. I can do all of the outdoor activities that fill me with joy. Rose must be blind because she is happy too!
Yesterday after my hike,
I carry a 12-15 lb pack on my hikes20 -
Thanks for the nudge to return @RangerRickL I have not been vacationing but am happy. Life is just Busy and I got out of all my routines. I had a week when my energy levels were super low and I really struggled but I’m over that and working at getting my routines back on track. It’s also an adjustment to my routine to take my man into account after being on my own for so long. I’m not complaining, just working out my new routines which make space for him.
I’m not logging food but eating reasonably (although I should cut down on the treats a bit) and my weight is stable. I’m still good on exercise but need to get back to doing daily yoga and core and doing my rehab stuff.
I’ll try touch base here every couple of days as I get my new routines going.12 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes 30 min beach walk with bub and 20 min Hiit training. This particular workout had lots of jumping etc, i must be recovering well as i was able to do it pretty comfortably!
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes had to use a couple of exercise calories which i prefer not to do but also need to listen to my bod!

@RangerRickL I totally agree that we have to make our own decisions as far as fitness, weight etc and no one can really drag us somewhere. Your hiking and riding day yesterday had me green with jealously in this frozen wasteland I call texas this week. LOL.
@Dory_42 welcome back. Yes we missed your posts. Please make a little time for yourself and us! I totally understand having a new person in your life can throw schedules and routines out of whack and I will be the first to admit over the years I have done that a lot also, but I also can remember feeling less happy about ME. Yes, WE was good but ME started to be a little gloomy about my personal journey.
Still icy and cold as all get out this morning. Even Amazon did not delivery yesterday. Lots of car wrecks every where, Praying it warms up just a little today so my poor trees will get some relief from all the weight of the ice.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes - roads were dry and clear so got a run in. COLD tho. Not used to running in below freezing weather.

Since the roads appear better I am going to go up to visit with Bandit this afternoon. We are now forecast to lows of (lemme check because it changes each minute!) 9 on Sunday and 0 on Monday. That's F degrees. yikes.5 -

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? No, 1468/1200, I made a wrong dinner choice, so I kept feeling hungry and ended up eating another meal.

Today is my first day pass of the month, let's hope the next one would be for a better reason.

I braved the cold and walked outside 7 miles tonight! It got up to a whoppin 32(F) today, higher than it's been for over a week... and it's not going to get this warm for several MORE days! Ugh!7 -
