We meet here to explore, share, celebrate and (sometimes) agonize over how we do (or don't) incorporate weight loss guidelines into our daily lives. "It's a lifestyle, not a diet" is easily and often said, but sometimes not so simply put into practice.
This is a thread for everyone. If you're new to GoaD, or to weight loss, your questions and comments are always welcome. If you're maintaining, or a long-term loser, your thoughts on the topic may be just what someone else needs to hear. If you're reading this, join in the discussion!
Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion.
Monday - crewahl (Charlie)
Tuesday - whathapnd (Emmie)
Wednesday - Al_Howard (Al)
Thursday - misterhub (Greg)
Friday - imastar2. (Derrick)
Today's Topic: Your January Haiku
Whether you love or hate haiku, there's something to be said for the discipline needed to express oneself in 17 syllables (5/7/5.)
Create a haiku that expresses how you're feeling about your diet/ health/well-being so far in January.

Prone to distraction
Chipping away at the weight
Need to re-focus

Getting back on track,
slowly starting to focus,
this time I mean it!0 -
Wow, we haven't had a good explosive thread that evolves/devolves into haiku in years!0

Making good choices,

Making some progress
Better than alternative
But still a struggle.

I'm mostly on track
Moving, mindset, sleep, eating
Feeling so, so much better
And not weight related:
I am exhausted
Grandgirls talk and talk and talk
Oh sweet silence, sigh0 -
I don't do Haiku
I never understood them
Some things never change0 -
Red lips rustling silk
Crickets singing in the night
Stars for my lantern
I guess that is more of romantic warmer weather wishes.1
