Woah.. it's February! Insane.

Not much to report here. Back to work today (at home), so I thought I'd jump on here early to post. The weekend was good but uneventful as per normal. Shawn works Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, so I'm by myself with the dogs on these days, as the kids are with their Mom until Wednesday.

Still eating somewhat crappy but I have upped my activity with walking both dogs once a day and then the little one 2 or 3 times a day. Every little bit helps!

Gotta run, but I'll check back. I hope all is well.

Ok...so I get on the scale this morning and I am not happy to see the number as it was up from yesterday and the day before. HOWEVER, when I logged in and saw that I was actually DOWN .9 from last week...ok...I'll take it and CELEBRATE!!! PLUS I met a colleague last night for dinner and had Mexican food AND a jalapeno margarita so I was expecting a bit of an uptick anyway. So yay me!

Our weather is so darn bizarre. Last week in the 40's, raining and I needed sleeves, socks and shoes and sometimes even a jacket/gloves. This week, well yesterday when I went for a walk at 2pm it was 81!!! WTH...oh it was quite warm...and I had sleeves and black yoga pants on...UGH. I got in my mile at lunch. Then I had some running around to do for the office and then because I thought I was going to be in the office today, had coordinated to meet one of my colleagues/friends for dinner so I headed over there and it was refreshing to be out of the house.

Kelly good job getting in the walks. I now need to add some Peloton ANYTHING to my daily or even every other day routine and get a bit more training in.

Well I am sort of holding steady overall, although I'm still bouncing around and I'm aware that I'm being to not be quite as vigilant about intake and tonight I had cookies after being very careful about sugar for a pretty long stretch. I need to make some kind of change to get myself recharged. Today, I'm itching again, so I think I went into self-comforting mode with Trader Joe's key lime tea cookies.

Lois, last night I logged in and read your post and remembered the issues you had with your bank card. And I decided that one thing I can do is not keep as much money in my checking account. So I before I got up from my desk, I called the bank and transferred funds to savings. An interesting thing is that hubby saw an article this morning online from some local news source about thefts from postal vehicles in our county. I don't know if that is what happened to me, but it may be a possibility. I'm going to try to find out more. In the meantime, the bank has put the funds back into my account. They actually did that two days after I talked to the fraud division. I still don't like the fact that someone has my bank account info, though.

Today, I was off. For at least two weeks, I'm working Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and I'm loving that. Having a week day to run errands is wonderful. However, I woke up at 7:20 this morning in a panic because I thought I was not going to have much time before I had to be online. Thankfully, hubby remembered and said, "you didn't set your clock because you're off today!" We made use of the time and went back to the upholstery shop to take back sample books, look at few more fabrics, and made a selection for our loveseat. Sheesh, I hope my fabric does not get lost like yours did. Is your sectional finished now?

We also took a picture to a framer. It fell off the wall when we were taking ornaments off of the Christmas tree. I think hubby bumped it. He partially caught it, so the glass didn't break, but there are some dings in the frame. It's an unusual frame and this picture is one of a pair, so I really wanted to fix it. Turns out the framer cannot fix it. He did give us the name of a furniture restorer who he said may be able to help, but he's about an hour and half from here. So we thought in meantime, we'd just put it back up, and it turns out that the lamp actually blocks that spot, so at least I don't feel pushed to try to get there. I think first we are going to send him some photos.

So long story, long--I took advantage of the day and I feel ready to get back to work in the a.m. Tuesday was stressful. I had to squeeze in time to do an updated resume and bio for the company that pays me and do my monthly report in addition to my regular work. But overall, I'm still enjoying the work.

Well, I know I have rambled about everything but the topic at hand. Honestly, I have not yet come up with some short-term goals. But I will promise now that I'll do that before we weigh in next week.

Lois, I'm glad you're getting to see Rhea. Kelly, hope your back is doing better. And Sheesh, hope the rash has finally gone away and all is well with you.

Not much movement, but not much work put into it either. Man, I just can't get into the mode of caring or giving a crap! Obviously I don't want my weight to be where it's at, but at the same time I just don't feel like putting in the work. I'm exhausted by the end of the work day and can't wake up any earlier since the dog will just follow me. I can't wait for the basement to be finished... then it won't matter if the dog comes downstairs with me while I workout. Right now he'd just eat the insulation or wood lol

It's my Friday today, as I took took tomorrow off work, just for the heck of it. Shawn and I will go visit my parents for coffee in the morning. It's about a 45-50 min drive to get there. Hopefully the roads improve before then. We got a bit of snow and rain last night and it's stupid windy today so the roads aren't awesome.

Great job on the reduction Lois! Isn't it great when we think we've gained, but we actually lost!

Sounds like you took fully advantage of the day off Sarah! I'm hoping to do the same tomorrow.

    I hope you're all well :)

OK. Stuck at my desk...got frustrated and went for a walk. Came back to finish stuff and WATCHED a bootcamp on Peloton. That works Right? I watched it...and the music was good. Ok...I watched as well as if I was doing it because I was still working, but the video played. I should see a reduction tomorrow. Right???

Yikes! More than a full pound. . ugh. Well, that makes it more clear to me than ever that intake is most important. I've worked out every day (other than last Sunday) for at least 2 weeks. I got into a daily routine of coffee, housework/paperwork, plan dinner, workout, playdate or phone call or Zoom, make/eat dinner, shower, watch some tv, read, bed. I grab a quick lunch or snack during the day. It's repetitive, but with Covid about all we can do is drive to pick up groceries or run a few errands every now and then. Anyway, my workouts have been varied, and some really hard, so I know it's not movement that's the problem. I literally couldn't do more at my age, lol! So, it's the treats in front of the tv, the too large of portions at dinner, mindless snacking, etc.

Sorry I wasn't able to post on Wednesday. I may have to change my weigh-in day to Thursday or Friday . . we changed our family Zoom to Wednesdays, and I have 2 grandkids I spend an hour with online on Wed afternoons also. I don't know how you ladies can work online for hours at a time . . Hats off to you. After 2 -3 hours my neck and behind gets so sore. When I was working, I spent quite a bit of time on the computer, but now I guess I'm not "in shape" for it.

Lois, wow, temps in the 80's. That's warm, but my favorite temperature is 78 degrees. Nice. And good job getting a reduction. Wouldn't it be nice if we could burn calories watching workout videos? :D

Sarah, your work schedule sounds perfect. I'm glad you have time to get errands and other things done. Hopefully there's less stress on you.

Kelly, you had a reduction ;) . . good for you. It's so great you get to see your parents. I'm envious of in-person family time. How's the puppy? House broken now?

It's such a strange time . . I've attended Zoom funerals, Zoom piano recitals, Zoom choir performances, and of course all the family on screen. I do get to see my daughter and almost SIL here, but we wear masks and distance. It's getting old. Today, I have (another) Zoom doc apt. I did go in on Monday for blood draw prior to today's online apt. My doctor is just following up on the new med she put me on last Oct. (Lipitor) and the weird rash which is STILL visible, but not active or angry . . it almost looks like it's a scar ?? I still haven't had a firm diagnosis. Sarah and I are in the same boat there.

The governor announced yesterday that people 65 and older can start getting the vaccine on March 1, which is great, but in researching it I can't figure out how to get an apt. All the information online says "don't call, we're too busy vaccinating 70+, healthcare workers, and teachers. It's confusing and not well done at all. The online form won't let me submit either because I'm no 70+. Ugh.

Well, this post was long, sorry. To get things moving in the right direction, my plan is to set small goals surrounding improving my intake. I obviously hate logging food, so instead my plan is to eliminate tv snacking, cut back on carbs, and take half portions or eat half portions of take-out/Door Dash. Also, increase water intake. So, that's my goal for the week. I'll keep working out (I'm in an Apple competition with my OR daughter). We'll see . .

Oops. Looked back for last week's weight and posted in the wrong spot. Caught it, copied and moved.
