My plan, your advice.

Hi all
I will start the low-carb diet for 30 days and would appreciate your advice & recommendations to help me with this journey.
For the first 3 days, I will cut off all carb to 0% so my body goes to carb deficit, then introduce a none direct carp source under the condition to not exceed 5g per day.
Am an active person with 3-5 exercises days per week, manly weight lifting.
I would appreciate it if you tell me your opinion about my plan. Also if you share good resources for low carb recipes or a list of supplements of bread & rice

Just a 'heads up,' you will probably find a drop in your exercise efficiency/strength/endurance for the first while until your body gets used to the new fuel source. I know there is a thread on here for keto lifters/exercise enthusiasts, you'll probably have to do a search. (I can never find things on MFP by doing their searches but you might have more luck.) Are your first three days going to be carnivore? Can't think of any other way to get 0 carb grams. And 5g a day is pretty tricky to figure out too. Eat three eggs and tablespoon of hummous and that's it for the day, as an example.
The only rice you'll be able to have on that low of a keto diet is the miracle or konjac 'rice'. I like an Unbun for a burger or sandwich once in a while but each bun still has about 3 net carbs.
For more sustainability, I'd try figuring out what amount of carbs, fats, proteins you are presently taking in and then try cutting your carbs in half for a couple weeks and reduce it slowly from there. Some people can get digestive upsets if there is a very drastic switch. Good luck and keep us apprised on your journey and results.1 -
I dont know if you are keto or low carb. I do low carb, 100 gr or less and it has worked great for me. I lost weight fast, 40 lbs. My life savers was finding low carb wrap, 3gr 35 calories from Krogers. and I do eat a small bag of chips, 16 carbs. I also have a mini kind bar, 8gr and the rest is healthy, meat and more meat, vegetables. Not much fruit except strawberries. Oh yes and low carb choc ice cream, yum.0

A calorie deficit will get your there. Just make sure you control your calories. Make sure you run high protein and have a solid lifting program. Those will be the bigger driver for anabolism. Additionally, I would consider timing carbs pre-workout, especially stuff that is more glucose based, like gummy bears. The increase in carbs will provide energy for your exercise.
Do you have goals outside of that?

You know what, people say that you eventually get your performance back, but I never did. The day after I went off keto and carb loaded, my lifts when up 25%.0
