It has been a successful day for me. Today is the second day in a row I have weighed in the 14os. I started grief counseling to deal with the loss of my boyfriend from Covid, today and since I fall in the high risk category in my state, have been scheduled to receive a Covid vaccination. I feel very blessed.8 -

To all in this group that maybe going through difficult times. I hope you don't mind, but I will say a prayer for you and your loved ones. I won't give you meaningless platitudes or even say I know how you feel, because we all process grief and pain differently. All I have to give is a prayer for your comfort and that you know peace and laughter again without the level of pain you may be experiencing now.8 -
3 ✔️s for me today and yesterday. Lots of yard work with my son while he's home from grad school for Spring Break--I'm putting his muscle to good use when we aren't consumed by March Madness.
@lesdarts180 I'm so very sorry for your loss. Sending prayers for peace, for you and your family.3 -

@Mrs_Hoffer Thinking of you. @lesdarts180
So much pain and suffering about. Looking at my bunch of beautiful spring yellow tulips @MadisonMolly2017 and trying to remain positive.
Yes, exercise done. Not a lot, but 35 - 40 minutes, could do more. Stayed under budget calorie-wise, tracked it all. Trying to do more creative cooking, hopefully tomorrow, planning spicy lentils.
Beautiful weather. I am healthy, even though inoculation seems still a long way away. I speak to my 98-year-old Mum every morning. My kids in UK seem to be doing OK. Stepson may actually be coming this way in a few weeks. My main emotion when my partner talks rubbish is irritation, which I try and change into empathy.
Lots of trying. Lots of failing. More success than failure though. Keep going ...
@Chinkiri
“Not a lot, but 35-40 minutes, could do more.”
I remember when you were doing 10 minutes *soft smile* Remember how far you have come! “Perfection is the enemy of good enough!” 30 minutes 5X a week is enough. Anything more should be celebrated!!!!
Inoculation will be here before you know it! And each person who gets the vaccine reduces everyone’s risk of getting COVID!!!
Our risks are decreasing dramatically!!
You have a lot on your plate & you impress many of us daily💕
Hang in there!

@beautyofdreams im so pleased to hear that u hve starting counseling. I am not sure if u hve ever done counselling in the past but if u dnt mind me saying pls try to stick with it and give it a good chance. I hear all so often that ppl take the brave step by seeking out help but quit too soon! I wish u all the love luck and success with overcoming the loss of ur boyfriend. I cant even imagine how hard that wld be for u! Donna. Xox

Came home today, trying to come to terms with the loss. My DIL has great friends and support in the village, (we were inundated with food!) we were looked after yesterday. My daughter also visited both Thursday and today, and is a great support. I have to remember that she has lost a brother, and take time to be with her.
I am overwhelmed with all the messages and hugs from so many on these threads. Too many to mention all by name but I was particularly moved by @SummerSkier sharing her loss. Thankyou all.

Stress!
I believe trying different methods to reduce our stress levels, seeing how they work, and either adopting them, modifying them, or trying a new method ALL are a huge part of losing weight & maintaining permanently
Important work!
Some of the Things I’ve tried and/or used the past 5.5 years:
Talking with a friend or family member
Distraction with a fun TV show -usually funny
Hobbies
Decluttering & organizing - oddly relaxing
Writing about it - burning it is supposed to help, but I’ve not done that
Daily tasks: bills, recycling, groceries (satisfying upper!)
Mindfulness guided meditations on free apps
**** Figuring out what is in my control & what is not. Focusing on the 1st & letting the 2nd go with deep breaths
**** I made up a phrase... “(Over)eating won’t fix it; it will just give you two problems to solve.
***** Extra salty food stimulates my appetite. I forgive myself & eat less of it from then on.
**** vegetables!!!! Filling & barely any calories & Fantastic for our bodies
**** Remind myself that eating for stress is a behavior I learned & one that I can unlearn!
Your Zumba & walking ❤️
I hope this spurs your own solutions to try! Be kind to yourself; you WilL figure out your own individual solutions!
Warmly,
Maddie 💕

Rose and I are in a cute vintage hotel in Palm Springs, CA. We are spending the weekend celebrating our daughter Catherine’s birthday. She has created a full 2.5 day itinerary of activities which includes her choices of restaurants. It was a Pass Day today and I sure that will be true tomorrow.
This is her first opportunity to go to restaurants since California shut down in mid March 2020. She and her husband have had both shots of the Pfizer vaccine. We have too.
It’s a great reason to celebrate a birthday!8 -

Not often I have a busy day since we’ve been in lockdown, but actually had a fun, busy and relatively social day. Took a day off work but we’re so busy I had to attend a couple of calls anyway. Went for al looong walk with my SIL in the morning and then bought a CAR! This is ridiculously exciting for me, my current car is basically an old banger, 18 years old, it has a tape deck and bits are starting to fall off it. I’ve gone from one extreme to another and now have one with heated seats which parks itself. Took the car out for a couple of spins with the kids and over to see a couple of friends for them to admire!5 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? YES | The world's slowest 2 mile jog (34) TOTAL: 34 min
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? YES | Base + 151
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES
---|---|---|---
Personal Bonus: Did I meet my protein macro for the day (40%)? NO | 32%
Pass Days Used: (MAR16)Since my 40 lb KB is taking some getting used to, I've worked out my expected progression using a drop set approach with my 25 lb KB. However, I ended off the first week and then started the second week by advancing my workout progressions faster than expected.
The calendar has been adjusted as of MAR082021 to reflect that I may end up doing 8 sessions with only the 40 lb KB (not just 3, as laid out in the original plan). Still aiming for a consistent 30 min PR by month-end.
The number in yellow indicates the number of minutes taken to complete the workout that day

Pass day. I had a medical procedure that did not go as well as expected. In the big picture, I believe I am okay but I needed a day to reboot myself mentally.7
