This chart is just one of hundreds of body measurement resources to track your own improvement.
The home scale might be better in the trash can than in our bathroom or bedroom. Doing body measurements once per month can help avoid the emotional roller-coaster of gross weight fluctuations.
If you follow the healthy habits most days, you will grow stronger and your mental health will be more serene.
Please read all of yesterday's NSVs and the majority are a testimony to the truth of the statement above.
Thank you to everyone who shared your Non-Scale-Victories.
If you have not yet shared your story, I encourage you to do so in today's post.
Thank you

truth: I untangled myself from daily weighing last summer. I really REALLY do not miss it. But I have to say that in order to maintain you have to have metrics you track. I watch my calories in and measurements. My waist is the biggest give away and as long as it stays the same and my clothes fit well I feel quite happy about it all.5 -

This was a question from @MrsHoffer from yesterday.Mrs_Hoffer wrote: »TerriRichardson112 wrote: »NSV: My scale continues to show that my body fat %age is falling, my body muscle %age is rising, and my BMI puts me in the normal range for my age and height.
@TerriRichardson112 This is terrific news! Can I ask what scale do you have? I'm just wondering how does the scale know muscle mass % from body fat %? I think I'd like to get one of those scales!
This is my scale. The label is on the bottom of the scale.
I treated myself to this analyser scale when I hit my 40 lb goal. You can program it with age/ gender/height/activity level for up to 6 people. It automatically identifies the user and displays weight, then cycles through the other stats. It weighs in either kg/lbs, and analyses body fat, water, and muscle %age, and bone weight. It gives your BMI and Recommended TDEE (daily calories)

Really frustrating day, but rather insignificant compared to what some of my friends on here have to deal with. Thinking of you, @Mrs_Hoffer and @lesdarts180.
Through my employer I got the opportunity to get vaccinated today. However, I would have to go to Toulon, a 3-hour train journey from Montpellier where I live. I thought it would be worth it, as otherwise I won't qualify until end of April / beginning of May, so I booked tickets, cancelled appointments for today. Then yesterday Astra Zeneca vaccination was suspended in France, so I frantically phoned and emailed my employers, to find out what was happening.
Finally got email this morning, saying No, vaccinations going ahead. Rushed to catch my train, 3-hour trip, only to find vaccinations had been cancelled, so went home again, 3 hours. Got home, to an email from employers saying "Where are you?" as my appointment was in the Military clinic next to the main hospital. I had shown my appointment slip with all the details to at least three people at the main hospital. So, here I am, spent all day travelling to and from a vaccination I didn't get ...
On the positive side, I walked to the hospital in Toulon, spurned the bus, beautiful sunny day, 15 minutes each way (uphill one way!), so 30 minutes, + 2 x 5 minutes home to station = total 40 minutes walking.
Stayed under calories, tracked. @MadisonMolly20179 -
@Chinkiri that must be the worst waste of a day. I only had to drive 20 minutes to the local racecourse for my jab. I do hope you get another chance soon.2

Lots of calories left. Almost all exercise calories - this includes 1h of walking (lunchtime w kids, in the evening w hubs) and a HIIT workout wirh Heather Robertson.
Hugs to those of us going thru hard times 🤗.2 -
To jump into the scale conversation I have the Fitbit aria and it does weight BMI and lean vs fat percents. Never have had trouble with it either

@Chinkiri Ugh, I am sorry that sounds so frustrating! I'm glad you were able to get some sun and your walk in though.
I use the app Progress to track my measurements. It's nice as it tallies how much you've lost in each area. I'm using the free version, though, so it only lets you track 6 areas.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? YES | Stretching (20) TOTAL: 20 min
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? NO
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES
---|---|---|---
* NOTE: Only counting half the stretching calories
Personal Bonus: Did I meet my protein macro for the day (40%)? NO | 26%
Pass Days Used: (MAR16)
As I type this, I'm eating a Magnum Non-Dairy Sea Salt Caramel as dessert. It is both unplanned and unabashed. So I'm over calories and way under my protein macro. This too shall pass 🤷🏾♀️Since my 40 lb KB is taking some getting used to, I've worked out my expected progression using a drop set approach with my 25 lb KB. However, I ended off the first week and then started the second week by advancing my workout progressions faster than expected.
The calendar has been adjusted as of MAR082021 to reflect that I may end up doing 8 sessions with only the 40 lb KB (not just 3, as laid out in the original plan). Still aiming for a 30 min PR by month-end.
The number in yellow indicates the number of minutes taken to complete the workout that day

Plus, can I count the five hours that I spent at the beach with the kids (happy to say- everyone around us was socially distancing).

The scale finally moved down a pound and I had a doc apt that confirmed the weight so it’s not just my scale humoring me after all of the obscenities I’ve thrown at it the past several weeks.
The doc apt was to discuss several important things but the one thing that was the most helpful was her stopping and taking a moment to reinforce any weight loss or maintenance or improved physical activity - no matter how slow or small - is fantastic during a pandemic. I really needed to hear that today so I offer it to all of you incase you do too.
Hugs to all.10 -

My new smaller size pants that I wore today were big.
The only downside is I left some water at home. I didn't get to drink more water until this evening.4 -

I missed NSV day yesterday - my NSV relates to getting STRONGER. I learned not to take exercise for granted when I had to take a break from running after spraining my ankle late in Feb.... I am back to regular running and weights now and am always surprising myself as I am able to do more and more. I ❤️ how strong feels.5 -

Exercised? Yes, walked 40 minutes.

Well over my pass days.
Sunday night I blacked out and fell twice. Monday morning I literally could not get out of bed. I live with my mother who carted me off to the ER and spent Monday and part of today in the hospital. This is the second time in two weeks that I have been hospitalized. This time I am wearing a Holter monitor to check for abnormal heart rhythms and received a hormone work up. Hopefully a diagnosis will be coming soon and I will no longer blackout and be able to get moving in the mornings.
On a positive note, donated all my 2x,1x,18w,18,16,14,12,10 and XL clothes to the local free clothing store. Committed to calorie counting now.9
