MARCH Monthly Challenge

Options
Hello to March and Spring

I've been saying that I guess weight doesn't exactly matter at this time but staying as healthy as you can does, it seems however that increasingly it's being found that being not too heavy improves risk against many diseases including this virus so maybe it continues to be important. Additionally, for many of us, Keto helps us feel good and that can't be a disadvantage at any time.

Feel very welcome to join, we usually post our weigh Sundays and use the 'Keto Monthly Challenge Spreadsheet' also in 'Announcements' to track weight.

You can post your weight here and also in the Keto Monthly Challenge Spreadsheet which Stormy updates. If you want to post comments etc please use this thread rather than the Spreadsheet.

We use this thread to encourage each other and to add our weight as well.

MARCH 2021

Sunday 3/7
Sunday 3/14
Sunday 3/21
Sunday 3/28

Stay safe everyone.

So not quite back on course for me as heading off again for a funeral. Hopefully I will return to a more settled life in March. Good luck everyone and well done in February.

I’m looking forward to March. Typically, I do well on my weight loss the first two months of the year. This year I lost 8.2 pounds in Jan and 4.4 in Feb. March is usually where I take my eye off the ball. So, I’m going to mindful of my previous March trends and focus on a continued slow and steady progress. There are four Sundays in March. My goal is to post a loss on all four Sundays.

The Road to Wisdom by Piet Hein

The road to wisdom? Well, it's plain
    And simple to express:
    Err
    and err
    and err again,
    but less
    and less
    and less.

    FEBRUARY 2021

I was within .5 lb of my goal for February, so I'll call that a win. Although I had planned to, I STILL have not added any exercise besides walking (good intentions and all). There is just so much to do with work and homeschooling and well, life. I am looking forward to our youngest going back to school next year. Our high schoolers are self-sufficient with school at home, but homeschooling my 5th grader is really taking it's toll on me (and her!)

Sunday 3/7 (Week: Month: Year: -10.5)

Hi! I just re-joined this group and MFP. I've lost over 100 pounds (and kept it off this time after years of yo-yoing). I still need to lose about 15 more to be at a "healthy" weight. I'm really struggling with these last pounds, but I will not give up after getting so close this time.

Wishing you all a great month!

    03/01: 173
    03/31 Goal: 168

p.s. FYI - I just added my info to the spreadsheet. I had one week that I didn't weigh in during Mardi Gras. I'm still recovering...

KLD you are a winner! I am so impressed with your progress despite the challenges and responsibilities you face. I find it difficult to lose weight and I have a whole supporting cast and only myself to be responsible for. You are an inspiration !!!!!!

Welcome TXRebelle. Great to have a 100+ loser in our group. Congrats. It seems like I’ve been fighting those last 15 lbs for years now myself. I’m looking forward to hearing your progress as we fight the final 15 together.

*Goals for the month: I’m back in full force! I found myself in dirty keto land during this past month and a half and have paid for it dearly. I’ve made my way back to clean keto this past week and am feeling better already. I’m getting back into my walking (weather permitting) and extended fasting routines. This month will be weekly 72 hr extended fasts with remaining days of OMAD.

Good luck 🍀 to all with your March goals!

    Happy Weekend!

I met my March goal this morning and hit a new 2021 low. I know that the losses will be slower now that I have the water weight off but I want to shoot for a stretch goal. I'll be moving next week and traveling so this will probably be an ongoing goal and would be my lowest weight of this century.

March is going to be a turning point for me. I’m fully vaxed, my bowling team is back to bowling and my softball team will start to practice as soon as the weather cooperates. These are signs we are heading back to normal. Hopefully, we can all peel off a few pounds as we continue to peel off restrictions we have endured way too long. I <3 spring!

That is great news, @stormywxs288! Along with all the extra exercise from moving, I will be moving to a place that has many wonderful parks/trails to walk so I hope to get back on a better routine, too...once I recover. :p

Great job, @colette0917!!! Your post slid in without me seeing it, somehow... :o

Okay, making my official Sunday weigh in numbers. I was expecting an uptick as I get my calories back up to a more sustainable level. Now that the water weight is gone, it will be slow going from here on out, but any day I don't gain, IS A GOOD DAY!!!

@stormywxs288 Yay Stormy! (Thanks for always being encouraging, by the way) I'm glad your teams have started up, I know you enjoy them. Stay safe and have fun! I'm still debating the vaccination, but have not ruled it out. And, yes to peeling off lbs!

    29 lbs to go!

I am only down .5 lb for week one of March. I expected it as we went out to dinner twice of times for work and I ate whatever I wanted. We did spend our anniversary at home (21 years!) and I kept my macros under control. We will also spend my birthday tomorrow at home so I can be more motivated to eat well. There was a time that would have depressed me, but I think I'm finding a good balance of eating what I want when I really want to, rather than "just because I can."

I've been missing traveling more than ever lately. We've had some semi-isolated family trips, but I'm really missing going on "real" trips with my husband. It's what makes me happy. We're hoping to reschedule our 20th anniversary trip for this spring. (even more motivation to lose the rest of this weight!) We had a trip scheduled last March and had to cancel it due to COVID. In the meantime, we'll go to San Diego at the end of the month as a family and hope to make it to Mexico for a day or two. Working remotely and homeschooling definitely has it's perks!
