Hey, would love some like minded ladies to be friends with! Here is about me.
I am 54. I have been on MFP off and on for I don't know how long. But I guess it doesn't matter. I'm back. I have 50 pds to lose.
I have two grown children. One lives far away The other still lives with me but is not home very often)
My favorite quote is "One day or Day one, your choice." So yesterday was Day one, again. But that doesn't matter, it was yesterday so I'm past it hahaha! I am from MA but now I live in SWFL. I like to garden, walk, bike. I love healthy eating and trying new recipes. I am mostly WFPB, but trying to be fully WFPB. I have a lot to say about that, but mainly I try to eat unprocessed, no oil, no dairy, and if it has a mother I do not eat it.
So why am I not healthy and fit if I like all those activities, healthy eating, and live in paradise? Well, My husband is PFMB (processed food meat based) lol. And, I love my wine. And wine has calories. And wine causes me to eat my healthy meal but later sneak in to snack on his leftovers. There I said it. Boy, that is embarrassing to admit! So no more of that. Tea and seltzer water except on occassion. I also eat when stressed, overtired, bored. So I am doing my best to get those triggers at bay, or have some tools to use to combat the need to eat when they appear.
I am wearing my fitbit (if you fitbit, let's try to figure out how to be fitbit friends too!) and try to get 10,000 steps in. I hope also start doing some dumb bells again. I am pretty much busy from 830am to 6:30pm with work, but a lot of times I am working from home in the mornings so that is when I try to do my walking or workout, when I am not being distracted by dishes, laundry and a dog who wants to play.
So here I am. I hope I am not too late to join the group. Friend me if you want. I'd love to meet you!

Welcome!! I prided myself on eating healthy (Fast food was something other parents did with their kids. Not me!!) but somehow eating all that healthy food helped me reach 232 pounds 😮. At the end of the day, its calories-in-calories-out (CICO). And I agree, wine is a tough one!3

Welcome to the group, @IndependentMe! No need to be embarrassed about having challenges: I'm sure we all do. I *know* I do. I lost about 50 pounds with MFP back in 2015, now hanging around to keep focus on staying active and at a healthy weight.
I'm kind of an inattentive disaster on the MFP friend side of things, more of a Community forum gal myself, but hope you'll find the support you want and need to make a positive path to your goals. Wishing you success!
P. S. I think playing with the dog can be a fun workout. 😉2 -
Yeh I'm kind of like @AnnPT77. I find I learn so much from reading the forums but I'm not much of a friend gatherer. The main thing is that we find the type of support that works best for our current situation3
