Right now there’s a video posted by CupcakeCardio on the motivation board. Wonder what others might think of it.

I think it’s terrific. But wonder how long it will stay up. Warning- strong language at one point.

That was amazing! I love her, and everything she said! Thanks for mentioning it. She's so inspiring.

I totally relate to and love "do what you can". When I got moving last summer, I started slow:
    Walk 250 steps 7 hours a day
    Lift 3# weights
3 min on the balance board
    Etc.
And I slowly increased, and I saw results. Great reminder for my out of good habits self. Motivating!

Thanks for the reminder about that video. I frequently visit the Motivation and Support board and tried to watch it over the weekend and had some trouble.

I think she's great. It takes a lot of guts to say many of the things she said. I hope many people will see the video, but I find myself especially hoping young girls will see it. While her message is about the potential negative impact of the body positivity movement, I think there are lessons in her words about learning to be healthy and to develop a sense of self-worth that also apply to those who are "nearly killing themselves" to be thin.

I especially liked what she had to say about determining what your obstacles are and then finding ways to go "around, through or over them."

And this: "Do one squat. Even if it takes all day."

I don’t really know about the body positivity. What I found remarkable was the extemporaneous speaking. It was either extemporaneous or she’s the greatest actress of our day.
