So my second child put me off fruit for a while, I was just getting back into it, today I made a smoothie and nope. This baby is a no fruit zone too! I eat veg so that's no problem but anything else I can add in instead of fruit? Also struggling to get enough protein in a day. Any hints? Thanks

I dont care much for fruit either. I'm trying to just have a large variety of vegetables to make up for it!

For protein I've been making chicken salad/chicken buns, and adding these pre-cooked frozen chicken strips to things. The biggest thing I've found to help is to have a good amount of meat at both lunch and dinner, otherwise I'm nowhere close. This kid just wants meat and cooked tomatoes right now so at least that's helpful! Usually I get a bit turned off meat during pregnancy.

Other things you can eat for protein:

    Cottage cheese
    Tuna (skipjack, not albacore)
    Salmon
    Turkey/pork bacon
    Pasteurized cheese
Try subbing lentils or quinoa into dishes needing other starches.
    Add eggs to things too!
