Pass days remaining: 1
Lots of activity today - training session at gym and gardening. Similar day lined up tomorrow.
I swear I spend most of the month thinking “this will make a great NSV on the 15th” and then we get to the 15th and I’m like uhhhhhh… 🤦🏻♀️ I need to start texting them to myself when they come to me.
Today my trainer suggested that my last reconfiguration of my calories may have put them too low and I should up them a little to see if that breaks my plateau. So… upping from 1400 (which was the MFP suggestion for losing 1.5 a week at a lightly active level) to 1550 to see what happens. Going to try that and forcing myself to get yoga in for a week or two to see what happens. 🤞🏻9 -
3 x Yes today. It was rainy, so I did a 20-minute rhythm ride on my stationary bike and a core workout afterward. Rain in the forecast for the entire week, so I'll probably become very good friends with the bike.
My NSV this month was putting on a pair of jeans yesterday that were actually quite loose when I expected them to be tight!13 -
@MaltedTea and @Chinkiri Thank you two for being here too!!3
-
Wow!! I appreciate all of you who have shared your NSVs. You are an inspiration to me.3
-
@SummerSkier - faster shoes are the best!! I think red or yellow ones are the fastest. Orange may be close. Congrats on your achievements.
NSV - I knew this month was going to be tough before joining for May. Lots of work changes and back to flights a few times a month. My NSV is that I joined instead of just throwing in the towel again this month. To date, I have 3 pass days for the month but not 15! I have lost a pound so far this month and I’m starting to become less squishy again. Ohhh and my lung issues are resolving and my lung capacity is greatly improved.
I just love to read NSVs.

Tracking: Yes
Calories: slightly under but had to use all my exercise calories - had planned for dinner at patio restaurant but my cushion severely challenged by flourless chocolate cake. I’m still amazed that something that tiny had sooooo many calories.
Exercise: Yes, cycle - 60 min; warmup, cool down ride, stretching - approx 30 min; yoga 20 min.
Pass days to date - 36 -
Yes, yes and yes.
However it was a sad day, had to put down our dog today. She gave us 12 good years, am missing her tonight.13 -

My nsv is upping my exercise and focusing on weights. Today I ate a lot but biked 8 miles roundtrip, walked more than an hour, and did a 40 min workout. I feel stronger and fitter than a few years ago, despite being a few years older!10 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes (30 mins walking)
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
I love reading peoples NSV's (size reductions, better running times, better habits forming).
My main NSV for May is that I am here on UAC and posting. I am here because I want to be here (and it is hard for me some days).
My walking is getting faster. My fitness is getting better slowly. The fitbit tracking of my resting heart rate says it has gone down significantly since the start of the month.9 -

Exercise: 90 minutes mountain biking, 20 minutes walking, 45 minutes stretching and PT exercises
Tracking: yes
Calories: under
Pass days: 05 -
NSV - Able to climb those tough MTB trails again. Reduced sciatic nerve pain. Blood tests all normal at physical. Able to fit into all the old jeans, shorts and shirts I never threw out, hoping there would come a day when they would fit again.10

My NSV’s:
🌺 Completed my first annual survey for the National Weight Control Registry!
🌼 Successfully switched to “first thing” walks to avoid higher UV & heat. Added short evening walk, too, when weather cooled - very refreshing. My avg steps are up!
🌸 The last two days I tried an experiment. I always write my food intake in sticky notes & then enter them into my phone after I eat.
These past two days, I wrote them & tucked them into my pocket. Tonight, JUST NOW, I entered them all.
I’m under both days!!! This is a HUGE DEAL!!!!
I didn’t count calories. I didn’t use set meal times. Amazing. Simply amazing. I listened to my body. I used what I’ve learned over the years.
I might just be able to eat like a normal person. Time will tell. But today, at this moment, the holy grail, the goal I never dared dream of, might just be within reach.
It’s been a multi-year journey of experimentation, honest reflection, daily exercise, careful tracking of macro & micro nutrients, mindful eating, daily weigh-ins, and the development of an art practice that fills me up where before I used food & eating out.
As I said, fingers crossed. I’m going to try it the next two days and see! ❤️7 -
@MaltedTea - that’s a 10:57 pace which is superb!
@SummerSkier - Running shoes? You mean I shouldn’t be running in flip flops?
@alligatorob - so sorry about your dog. Such a heart wrenching thing to happen.
@mshawski - like you, I know I’ve plenty of nsv’s so why am I drawing a blank? Think, think, think.....
For my NSV, it would be that I’ve been in a couple social situations this past week that although they involved food, I was able to control myself, make good choices, stop without gorging myself, and stay within calories.
Exercise: ran 3.5 miles and worked in the garden all afternoon. Hubs and I repurposed a fence and built a structure for tomatoes and squash. We were laughing that it was either going to look total hillbilly or completely genius. Fortunately it looks pretty darn good. Not magazine worthy but very functional. Next spring we’ll be able to put plastic over it and use it as sort of a greenhouse/cold frame.
Tracked: yes
Under cals: yes

this is huge. I think you might just have found a good way for folks to transition from logging to intuitive eating with this method if they want. Congratulations!4 -

NSV - I feel better! Less knee pain, less back pain and more energy! Also clothes are fitting better.
Today - yes x 3
Lots of outdoor time today. Outdoor cleanup in the am and then friends over for a few beers and dinner in the afternoon.
I did a good job fitting in some celebration foods and still staying on target with calories.
Hubby and I split a piece of the birthday cake they brought for me so I could enjoy it without going overboard.
Thanks for the input on eating out. The Buffalo tenders are grilled chicken tenderloins basted with Buffalo wing sauce. All the flavor of wings but way less fat.4 -
@Crosbinium - Happy Birthday! 🎈🎂🎉🎊1
