Yes x 3. Writing this laying in bed in A HOTEL ROOM!! First time out of my own bed since January 2020. Feels great to go somewhere!
Am at a horse show for the next couplevof days. Not riding, since horse is still rehabbing. Just came down to cheer my barn mates on. Packed breakfast and lunch for the two days, so should be able to stay on track and enjoy dinner out tomorrow night.11 -
A great day did a lunch time walk nothing fast but oh so nice scent of the fresh cut grass and warm sunshine was so nice. My carbs- net were down from yesterday, I tracked and logged. Hoping for a motorcycle spin tomorrow.9

Had a much better day today. Thanks @RangerRickL and @snowshoe072 for the graphics. They are both SO TRUE!!8 -
@snowshoe072 Thanks for that post. I don't usually think about my activity that way, but I know that most of my contemporaries stopped moving a long time ago and are not moving now.2

@Chinkiri Thanks for your post. I'm glad that you are feeling better and got outside for some sun!2

I’m getting annoyed with this plateau I seem to be stuck at. Accepting all suggestions for how to break it. I’ve been reading up on it and it seems like I’m doing everything right except the whole “reduce stress” thing. I have no idea how to even approach that as most of my stress is 💯 out of my control. I’m looking forward to the warm weather being permanent and getting the garden going. That might help the stress.
What’s worked for you fine folks who have successfully moved past plateaus?8 -
Laptop needs charging and hate typing on phone. Three yes for today!7

I got my covid vaccine today and felt like crap. I didn't want to eat dinner at all and for some dumb reason was craving ice cream and just gorged down like 300 calories worth of ice cream after a small dinner as a reward for "attempting to eat dinner" and "hey you are sick it's ok"8 -
@Dory_42 - have a great time!!
@Chinkiri - I’m so glad you’re feeling better. I suddenly have an urge to buy some plants tomorrow.

We are in vacation mode in my household. Leaving Saturday morning for the beach. I'm really looking forward to it. We have reservations for sushi and Italian the first two days. They are both restaurants we've been to before so I'll be able to make good choices. I've been thinking about my strategy for keeping my calories reasonable next week which I'll share tomorrow.
I'm very happy to report that my wrist/hand is nearly back to normal today. The swelling and pain are both quite low. I think by Saturday I'll be back to normal.
In regards to nuts ... this is a frequent snack in my household. I have no problem doing a serving size for this which is typically 38-30 grams or the equivalent of 1/4 cup). The only exception is pistachios. If I eat those I always want more. Luckily the shelled ones are expensive so I hardly ever buy them. I'm way too lazy to shell them.

Long walk plus exercising. I switched up my exercises from a bodyweight time-based app to a more sets/reps bodyweight mixed with dumbbell type. And the ab roller is killer! I think I needed a change after a year, and I know variety is supposed to be good for workouts, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.8 -

@mshawski
When I was losing, I set a monthly goal of 4lbs. Even if I plateau’d, it didn’t matter. I always lost the 4 lbs when averaged over the month.
Other ideas:
Really reduce salt for 3 days
Make sure you drink enough water throughout the day & increase the amount for hotter weather
Track every gram you eat.
Sleep enough.

@mshawski I am no expert on either plateau-ing or stress, but I do know that in your situation, stressful job, childcare, it's really important that you look after yourself, by allowing yourself nice things, events, moments, that are not food-related and that are little treats for you, not your son. Things that make you feel good, even if it's only for half an hour... I buy myself some flowers from time to time, or a second-hand CD, or sit in the sun, reading a book for 10 minutes. Does wonders for my stress!10
