I'm so impressed by everyone who can stay consistently below their limit. I exercised, tracked everything but am over for the second day. Does that mean I take it as a pass day? Then I have 2 pass days. What happens if I go over 3? Just keep counting?
@Higa2021
To add to what others said... YOU get to set your calorie goal daily. Perhaps set your calorie goal a bit higher until it’s more manageable. Then decrease it gradually (if you want to) over time.
It’s up to you! I set my calorie goals higher & lost weight over years not weeks or months. Rarely was really hungry & had lots of time to learn new habits.
Just a thought!
Best,

Yes x 3. Took a long walk and did a 20 minute core workout to compensate for the total lack of exercise yesterday. It felt good to get out of the house and let my brain take a break from worrying. My sweet dog seems to be on the road to recovery, thank goodness. I appreciate all the well wishes.
Also, I turned in my final grades this morning and put this horrible academic year to bed! Still some long days of meetings to get through, but I'll make it.
@pamjsa Thank you for teaching - especially this year❣️2 -

Even though I've managed to do the treadmill every day this month I've fallen down on my other exercise goals. It's the last week of my course and I'm still finishing up my final project so haven't had much time for other things. It's been a long time since I took a class and I'd forgotten about all the end of semester busyness. I will turn it in tomorrow so then I'll be done until the fall semester begins. I will refocus after tomorrow.5 -

@snowshoe072 - “life does have a way of throwing a curve ball we can either move or get hit, I prefer to keep moving.” Wow this is such a good analogy! You’re brilliant.
My curve ball was yesterday. Woke at 3 am unable to get back to sleep because my brain was chugging out “to do” lists for work. At 4:30 I gave up trying and got up, which did give me time to do a Classical Stretch workout, badly needed after the strength workout the day before. Then at a daughters house at 6:30 am to watch her kids until 9 (this was unplanned). Then after work went to a bar/restaurant to run a trivia game with another daughter. I didn’t get home until 9:30. Made some poor food choices mostly because I didn’t plan well. Ended up about 200 cals over, which actually isn’t too bad. I was tempted to make another bad choice late at night but remembered what @RangerRickL said about pass days not being an excuse to completely blow it, plus knowing how much I’d regret it in morning.

Posting "the morning after".
Yesterday finished well. Headed out after dark (my favorite time if I am going to add any running) and did a mostly run, 4 miles. Tracked and planned well. 3 x yes Not taking a 4th pass....yet!
@lesdarts180 Yes, we need to live each day to our best as it is so unpredictable.
@whatmerunning @maltedtea @donna25trinity @thabit11 @lesdarts180 Thanks for the well wishes. Today, the 7th seems better but not perfect. I did a internet search on seasonal allergies and stomach ache and bam, histamine from pollen can cause stomach ache, in particular Birch Pollen. We have two huge birch trees in the yard. Going to play with that concept today (the 7th) and see. @thabit11 I'll keep the tea concept in mind. I have lots of tea in the house here.
@higa2021 You have gotten lots of great answers already. I'll just chime in with my own life. I had 5 months of winners circle, or very close and a champion. Then March I had 18 pass days and for April, I think it was 13. I am still here. May was supposed to be a "come back" and winner's circle, then life brought surprises. I'm at 3 passes already. Still will try for winner's circle, but will certainly be a greater challenge. But you never know unless you try. On a related note, last month a couple members (sorry not recalling who ATM) were discussing counting their non-pass success days as a way to keep their motivation going. It was an excellent suggestion.
